Hi y'all, i am having a question regarding BUY and STRONG BUY signal mixup. Here's ZM chart from yesterday where the stock shot up in the morning but lux triggered just a "BUY" signal and no follow up strong buy signal afterwards as the trend continued (highlighted in blue). But later in the day there was another run (not as strong) but this time STRONG BUY was triggered (highlighted in red). I am using the standard signals (4.25 - 1.95 - 20). Can anyone advise what should the settings be to adjusted to catch intraday stock momentum trends?

I understand. But what puzzles me is that BUY wasn't followed with a STRONG BUY as that early morning trend (blue) was at least 2x stronger than the later in the day trend which actually triggered STRONG BUY (red).

It can be just "buy" and then confirmed into "strong" without label if you see green candles

you can trade gold with forex.com. Did you try to add it ? when you first get in the mt4 you can see + in the right top corner you can add gold there (xauusd)

You're most welcome @steep quiver and thanks - First idea is to force myself to check every algo variable so I really take responsibility for the trade decision when I pull the trigger. It's probably way too involved for scalping or even day trading, but the older I get the slower I trade (I have grand babies to enjoy!)

@mild bloom My normal advice is if the signals don't suit your strategy - try and find value in other things e.g. reversal zones ect

Everything built in has value - just people love signals more than other things 🙂

Every dollar I don't lose is a dollar I don't have to win back so I also have a second form to process the ticket when I get exit sugnals.

I built in mongodb and have it in the cloud. And goodness yes it does suppress emotions. lol

Same thing can be done in Google Forms I think. But you would need to figure out how to do the closing part of the ticket. There are a lot of trade journals out there but I wanted a custom one combined with my personal algos and indicators. Anyway hope it helps someone. 🙂

Already seeing better metrics with Lux in the mix! Of course I'll report back after 100 trades.

You got this. Just keep that dead-simple push-button mindset from creeping in. Lux is bad ass and very comprehensive, but you still gotta dial it into your trade plan. And your personal temperament is so important. Some folks are not cut out for super short TFs.

See this type of signals with luxalgo is what drives me nuts..... the strong signal was given at the bottom the hourly wick -not the tail- right after BOOOOM opposite direction ... that s the 1H chart ..
