Allow keybinds for vein mining or preferably use a different mod | MC Eternal | Page 1

The vein mining mod is cool but it is a frustrating mod to have for daily activities in the recent update. Ever since it was introduced and hardcoded to your sneak button, I can no longer shift off edges and mine a single ore. If multiple ores are touching that while I sneak, yeah, all of it will vein mine.

This current iteration is causing more frustration than making something QOL. Looking at those who like to sneak a lot and mine one block vs an entire ore vein.

I suggest the need for keybinding this so it is NOT hardcoded to sneak key. Or preferably an alternative like FTB Ultimine mod.

What is the vein mining mod in the pack rn? I did not found it (or just missed it) and sneaking does not activate it for me.

Btw i just added FTB Ultimine to the pack, i can't play without it lol

In 1.04 version, it uses Ore Harvestor mod. I saw on the GitHub issue i commented on that theyre switching back to the enchant i think

vein miner enchant was more akin to my original intentions anyway i just caved on day one and added an easy ore excavator because everyone was at me for it

i dont mind what vein mining mod is used as long i have the option to use it or not and the mandatory option to keybind it

I prefer FTB Ultimine because it gives you options and visually shows what you are vein mining

You can set up the vein miner enchant mod to allow vein mining without the enchantment, I did it on my server

I hate when modpacks try to be quirky by using just outright worse versions of mainstream mods.
Vein miner and Xaero's maps? 🤮
Ultimine and Journeymap justright
