it periodically drops colored eggs in a set area around every player, and its super easy for them to clog up automation and start lagging stuff out on a populated server

for singleplayer i would agree, but i could see it blindsiding servers really badly when the first april after release rolls around

it drops enough eggs that it only takes a few dudes that dont have a magnet and dank to slow down a whole server

and on a pack this big, servers are gonna need all the help they can get

It plays vanilla and modded sky block just fine. Any modded pack I've tried, mce1 mce light, valhesia 2, m-tech, amd a few other tagged as light packs stutter and are virtually unplayable.

mce1 full does play on a steam deck, but there seems to be some kind of memory leak that causes the whole system to freeze up when it runs out of ram

Not officially. It's all SOC except for the storage. There are however people who have desoldered the ram chips, and resoldered their own, to success.

Older mod packs seem to have a memory leak issue that I have yet to really experience with newer packs, like greedcraft had a line of code you’d have to run in the Java startup to make sure the game didn’t freeze in the built in ram clean it does every so often.

Recently my boys and I have started playing Chocolate edition pack. At first I thought it was boring and too vanilla y, and so did most of the guys, but once we got into it we got addicted. Highly reccomend if you are one to expect mce2 news, should keep it off your mind for at least a month 🙂

Also my first time with Create, I have a love hate relationship with that mod. Cool but makes brain hurty. Was so thankful when I finished the quest that needed several machines

It is! We have never really played hardcore story/progression packs with clear cut goals like this, and I gotta say, it's pretty perfectly done. There's SOME balancing issues with the starting "easy" eyes you work towards they'll be tweaking soon, but otherwise it's all felt pretty good

nah, it's been around for a while

people don't use it in packs because of how much tinkers has changed

in 1.12, it's pretty much impossible to make a good tool without it. 1.16 changed that drastically. there are now limited-use ways to get extra slots in default tinkers without having to use a specific tool material. modifiers have also been split up into categories by how strong they are

levelling in 1.16+ is unnecessary and far more powerful than it was in 1.12. that's why the addon has it gated behind a hard-to-make modifier, and mce2 seems like it will keep with that design idea

Hope mce2 development is going well. Most people are impatient but that def is because of how much passion is going into this. I think one of the main issues with people coming to this discord channel though is that the FAQ does still say the release will ideally be in 2023

many days without last incident

The last I shared I was playing MC Chocolate Edition. It was a 7/10 pack I'd say. It lost a few due to it being very unfinished/polished in the later stages but it was honestly a good refresh from kitchen sinks I am usually into. One disappointing thing is how it is clearly going to stay in a near perpetual unfinished state due to the devs still cooking any and all mods they can figure out into it, instead of focusing on the bugs and polish it clearly needs in the near whole state its in

Anywho, I got to the End of that pack, beat the dragon, there was still more content to do but all the homies had left after 2 weeks per usual and on the 4th week I finally gave satisfactory a try and

now my save has 200 hours on it q_q
