slade palettes inaccessible

with the default skin, i am pressing the Z button on gcc to access the rest of the palettes but slade stays the same default palette. the sound effect for the changing of the colors is audible but cant use any other palettes on default skin

can confirm, it happens to me as well. this also seems to happen with a switch pro controller and keyboard, so it seems to be a game thing rather than the controller
