Here is what I have tried/checked:

Multiple filament brands of petg
Extruding after pause works fine for 10mm at 10mm/s
Disabled retraction
Different temps from 115 to 130c
Extruder motor temperature (cool to the touch)
Extruder tension

Usually happens 1/3 or 2/3 threw the print. Hot end is a bowden e3d v6 volcano hot end with a microswis 0.6mm nozzle. Extruder is a BMG. It also does not happen with every print.

Pop a pic in from the slicer to around the same layer, also you say 115-130C - assume this is the bed, whats your hotend temps

I get you .... but a flow test is a bit short term, best stick with speed off of the filament for best

I thought I could tweak speed with temp and fans, it's a bit of a science

I just ran from 10 to 30mm/s cubed and it finished flawlessly at 230. im running one at 30 to 50mm/s cubed at 230c to see what happens. 15 minutes and we will know how far it will go with this filament and 230c.

Nope 30 was it and I'll probably just stick it back to 15 as that was plenty fast

I also found out the set screw on one of the extruder gears was loose. No wonder retraction was wonky

I have had different colours of the same brand give completely different speed max's always best to try it's max then probably drop it 10-15%, you should be out of danger with this
