You might have a bubble in the hotend. Try doing a cold pull and see if that helps.

Yeah. Cold pull. Heat the temp up to your normal printing temp. Then manually push the filament so it comes out to build a little pressure in the hotend. Then drop the temp down to 90-100 and pull the filament out. If you do it right the filament will be shaped like the inside of your nozzle and will remove any bubbles or contaminants.

You taking off the nozzle probably removed the issue in the process but for future reference this is an easier alternative. Also you need to purge the filament before changing nozzles so you don't get it caught in the thread of the nozzle and cause a leak. Always change nozzles while it's hot.

You littlerally can't do enough research. If the printer has 100 parts there are 300 ways it can f*ck up.

#

You have to put it in hot because of thermal expansion. When it heats up it expands causing an opening When it wasn't there before. The best thing to do is first a cold pull then cool down the hotend. take out the old nozzle and then screw in the new one by hand... hence why it needs to be cold. Screw it in as far as it will go then heat up the printer to about 210 or so and use the wrench that came with your printer to tighten it as much as you can. The nozzle will heat up the wrench as well so don't dally and spend much more than a minute or so with it touching the nozzle. You'll be fine you've got plenty of time so don't worry about getting burned but don't just let it sit there either.

You did say you didn't print anything for a while. It's possible too that your filament has absorbed some moisture also. You might want to look into getting some dry storage bags for your filament and a dryer. First I would rule out it's not a bubble for the moment.

#

With a dryer you can fix that.

#

Oh.

#

Well the oldest ive ever used was about a year and half. I dried it for about 2 days and it printed well enough

#

Lol.

#

With the seasons changing like they are and if it rains alot it can still soak it up rather quickly. Dryers aren't too expensive tbh.

#

Nah that's not true. I got one Amazon for like $50 I think

#

To be fair i don't think this issue is moisture but it could be and I'm just making you aware of it.
