#Reinforcing vertically protruding parts

Hey guys, recently I had to print a plug that latches to a hole in the machine, but the latches are printed in easy to break orientation and are on top of the flat part so everything that holds it is the layer adhesion.

Do you know ANY technique that might help me reinforce such type of connection, because I don't see an option of changing the printing direction in this case and I did stumble upon the same problem quite a few times already in other prints with no clear solution.
Any suggestion appreciated starting from changing filament, modifying the print settings and ending up on gluing the corners in the connection areas.

Make them separate. So you will make the rounded part print normal with holes and then print the orientation of the connectors print then and then glue them

Good idea, I did consider it already and will go probably do it in this case, but I wonder if there are any other methods of strengthening this type of parts if the part base design makes it impossible to make holes.
