#some sort of z-wobble on my neptune 4 max

I recently got a neptune 4 max and it wasn't able to print a clean benchy, no matter what i tried i keep getting some sort of z-wobble but only on the x axis (extruder moving left and right)

The red/green benchy was my first benchy for which i used the g-code provided with the printer. The yellow ones i sliced the benchy myself in the elegoo cura slicer with basic settings

did you check if the z axis is set up correctly and you dont use z fade

I used 2 objects with the same hight to make sure i dont have a z-tilt

thats not checking the mechanics though

I'll have to take a look at my settings when i'm home to see if z fade is enabled or not

This looks bend

Quite

#

What couplers.do you have on your motoes? @clever basalt

H.m.

#

I mean its no flexcoupler

#

Also iz looks like thr motor is to close to the extrusion? Which would be horrible if thats the reason

What motor are we talking about?

After doing a PID calibration and input shaper for x/y axis i'm gonna try making another benchy

#

Btw, my rods are sort of stuck at the top, they can turn but not mover left/right

#

Just remembered that i printed a filament spool rack and those do look smooth

Z binding is only sometimes regular

#

In many cases it appears random

#

I guess the zaxis has to be that way on the neptune during the timing belt

Could it be caused by moving the printer into a different room?

#

I've been thinking, and looking at other prints from this printer, and then i remembered i actually printed a really nice benchy

#

When i printed it i had the printer in the living room, after printing a few things for 2 days and during that time i made a benchy, a buddha statue and a vase (all provided with the printer)

#

They all looked fine no z-wobble at all

#

Then i moved my printer into a small room, printed a benchy with new filament (the geetech green/red filament) which was just ugly, thought maybe it was the filament decided to print another benchy with different filament (3djake green filament) which i took from my sv06 (it was printing perfecly fine on that printer) and again a Wobble on that benchy

#

Should i try to print a benchy again, but move the printer back to the living room?
