artillery sidewinder x1 feeding filament

Hey does anyone know why it’s not feeding the filament through, I’ve taken it apart and nothing seems obvious to me although I’m new to tinkering with 3D printers.

there is usally a tiny gap between gears and the hotend where the filament goes in ( ignore that inthe example the arm is broken). if you load the filament like you with out compressing the arm an manually feeding it, there is a high chance your filament bends a little and gets stuck because its not hitting its hole

so the filment does feed through manually but now the cog is getting stuck moving back and forth. when i can manually move it, its smooth

would that be the same problem?
