I'm new to printing so any help or advice is greatly appreciated 😁

When I print something, the extruder goes through the motions but no filament comes out. When I purge the extruder it acts fine.

Temp is 220C in PLA (I didn't have an issue before)

Looks like the nozzle is too close to the bed

I've seen people suggesting z-offset to other people for similar issue. Any idea how much to offset?

#

And also would the printer's "calibrate" set it's Z correct?

Tried z offset -0.5mm and -1mm, Same thing. Also the nozzle is definitely touching the plate

negative offset normally lower nozzle, not lifts

Ah, thanks, I thought it'd be build plate since that's what moved in z direction

well, it depends on where it's changed too

#

in slicer negative offset means that whole print is lower into the buildplate

Ahh gotcha. Im changing it on the printer.
Trying +.5mm now

That did it. Thank you for clarifying the axis change 🙂
