Wich ender 3 and what printsettings and material.?

safe pine
#

its an ender 3 pro
the print temperatures are 200 for the nozzle, 60 for the plate
and its PLA

#

do you mean the settings in my software to slice the model?

unkempt talon
#

Normal or silk one?

#

Printspeed and layerheight yes

safe pine
#

honestly i didnt even know pla had 2 different versions, ill go check

#

its silk

unkempt talon
#

There are several versions 😄

#

Okay. So silk might need 65c bed and youll have to print the firstlayer pretty slow like 20mm/s

safe pine
#

sorry for the wait ultimaker is opening

unkempt talon
#

Its a mix of pla and tpu so its a little rubbery and a little trick to print

safe pine
#

ah i see

#

yeah print speed is at 50mm/s i should set it to 20 for silk?

unkempt talon
#

Just for the firstlayer

safe pine
#

the initial layer was set to 100!

#

i have no clue how that happened

unkempt talon
#

100% or mm/s

safe pine
#

100mm/s

unkempt talon
#

Uff

#

Stuck a lot for that 😄

safe pine
#

lol ill try printing with it changed to 20

unkempt talon
#

👍👍

safe pine
#

do you have a file for a test print i can use?

unkempt talon
#

No but a simple calibration cube should do

safe pine
#

one of these?

safe pine
#

It looks much better than it did before, but it still had an issue

unkempt talon
#

Hmm the flow is also to low id say

#

Clean the bed and try again 🙂

safe pine
#

Should I use rubbing alcohol? I heard that works well

unkempt talon
#

Water and soap works too

safe pine
#

Thanks

#

I think my nozzle might be clogged

unkempt talon
#

That looks like you were too close to the bed

safe pine
#

ah

unkempt talon
#

But a clog might be possible too

safe pine
#

ill level again and try

#

if that doesnt work ill try to unclog it

unkempt talon
#

Good luck

safe pine
#

i cleaned the nozzle and it seems to be printing well now, unfortunately im gonna be busy so i have to let it run while im gone, ill send pictures when i get back

#

thank you much for the help

unkempt talon
#

You are welcome 🙂

safe pine
#

So this happened lol

unkempt talon
#

Hmm you should increase your extrusion muliplier

safe pine
#

How much should I?

#

Now that you mention it, it does look pretty thin

unkempt talon
#

105%

bright zinc
#

attach the gcode, please, for that cube or whatever

safe pine
#

sorry for the delay

bright zinc
#

what size nozzle? @safe pine

safe pine
#

8mm I think

#

I tried printing with 105% flow rate and it still failed

#

My filament might be crappy

bright zinc
#

you have to know what size nozzle you are using

#

so that you can tell the slicer

safe pine
#

yeah its 0.8mm

#

not 8mm lol

bright zinc
#

how have you calibrated your esteps?

safe pine
#

honestly i dont even know what that is

bright zinc
#
  • surprised pikachu face *
bright zinc
#

you should probably do that. I don't have a guide on hand, but there are a zillion of them

safe pine
#

thanks for letting me know lol, im super new to 3d printing
