you up for experimenting? try engine paint or a high temp silicone paint

paint wont fully insulate
you need to look at the glass temperature range of the plastic
you may need to go to some fancy filament like asa or something super high temp

if the temp get above its glass transition temp it will start to deform and get soft.
iirc thats 80-85°C for PETG, so no. No way it can withstand 100°C for any longer than a few seconds until itself gets above said temp point.
coat it with metal 
PETG can't endure it, but crystallized PET maaaybee can.
If the shell of metal is thick enough its not the PETG withstanding it but the metal itself holding the PETG that wants to bend and deform in place... At that point just get the thing metal 3d printed from a service lol
