#Temporary Solution???

you can get away with a hardware store mirror tile clipped to the bed with binder clips
these little office thingies
like two on each edge of the mirror tile and you'll be good
as a permanent solution I definitely recommend the magnet plate with the steel flex plate
there are various brands out there, I prefer Wham Bam because their magnet pad is higher quality and their adhesive is higher quality. It does make the price higher, but I figure if i have to buy two cheap chineseum ones to get one that works, then that pays for getting a Wham Bam once and doing it right
Thanks, are there any household items you think i could possibly find and use?
I have seen many cheap chinese magnet pads fall off the bed, or crumble into dust, or lose their magnetism... I just don't want to mess with it
donno, got a window pane you don't particularly need?
also I donno what the default bed on that printer is like, is it a coated glass thing or something else
Is it okay to print directly on the glass of it
yeah if you're printing on bare glass that's where gluestonks is actually a decent idea
yeah but i just don’t know about getting the glue off
what’s the best way to remove it from the glass?
what, taking the gluestonks off the glass?
wet a washcloth in dishsoapy water and wipe the bed
and then follow up with a cleanwater washcloth
Hmm what’s the best thing to do for this small divot?
a gouge in your glass?
oh that doesn't really look bad enough to matter
if it does turn out to matter...
when I pulled a big huge gouge out of my glass bed by using hairspray instead of gluestonks
I measured it and made a bed sticker image to put in the slicer, so I could plate around the gouge
and I got away with that until I could get the Wham Bam
👍
just as thin and smooth a coat as you can manage
if it's all blobby you can scrape it around with an expired credit card or somethin
So how much resistance do I want for the z offset, like so i can barely move the paper?
