#MSI MEG X570 ACE BIOS Options
29 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
i wouldn't expect any more BIOS updates for X570 unless something is REALLY broken, the only likely update is the secure boot certs as it's an old platform
AGESA 1.2.0.11 for AM4 boards are starting to show up this week, but hidden options will stay hidden as this BIOS only fixes security vulnerabilities. So you might have to resort to Ryzen Master or Smokeless_UMAF to tweak tREFI ...
The last update in late 2025 was TPM stuff. It was left on beta
I'm on Linux. No chance. They should just include AM4 in openSIL
Or do something to improve the BIOS overall, since they're rereleasing the Ryzen 7 5800 X3D if the rumors are true. It's not legacy if it's still in production.
beta just means it hasnt been through full QA, MSI leave older platforms like that because they're older platforms
Hard to see it as an "older" platform when a lot of the components cost more than AM5
Perhaps, AMD and MSI should reconsider that classification
I'd argue openSIL for AM4 is the best compromise
The AMD X570 motherboard chipset was officially released and launched on July 7, 2019, alongside the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen desktop processors (Ryzen 3000 series) and the Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards
that's pretty damn old
And even so, it's an absolute workhorse. Look what I did with my RAM tuning: That's 4 DIMMs and 8 ranks on the X570 daisy-chain
And my RAM has CXMT C-dies, some of the lousiest in the game
Here is the before/after
i used my old X99 board for 10 years
i didnt expect BIOS updates 6 or 7 years into the prodcuts life
I would feel the same if this weren't the RAMpocalypse
good news
DDR4 is rising, especially because samsung are closing production lines because a $340k bonus for workers isnt enough apparently
Then, we must demand openSIL for AM4 💁♂️
Because I ain't buying Samsung's excuses. Prices are higher than ever. They are making money
The B550 VDH has AGESA 1.2.0.11 in the current beta but it isn't documented. Has an mid April build date but dropped a few days ago.
IDK if that does me any good. My chipset is B450. But still interesting
Sadly, that VDH is sort of ugly compared to my ACE
I have had an A-Pro for 5 years now in my living room. My office has a B650e. I doubt openSIL will get backported to 600 and 800 series. It'll launch with AM6 most likely ...
AM5 from my research
