#recurring Critical Battery Event, but at 60% or more and plugged in

now beginning to worry as this is the second time since Saturday on a brand new machine that this has happened and the previous time it was saying 95% charge.

Machine has since then had full battery calibration ran, and Centre is saying it's healthy. It's a New/OOB machine and it's the legit battery and while fitting secondary SSD checked the connections were all seated properly so it's also not a short or glitch.

issue : now twice that it's literally shut down the machine ( which after finding cause is the defined event even when Plugged in ) for critical battery events
main worry is machine is literally OOB saturday 16th and it's been ran plugged in since so has never been running on battery
event 1 battery was still in factory "charge to max" mode
event 2 battery was in "max lifespan//charge to 60%"

as you can see from images it's literally going from reading battery as fine and at whatever charge it's meant to to suddenly reading it as nil or 2% even when it's literally sitting on mains power

Google-Fu is failing me for any possible causes beyond "battery FUBAR"//"Power Port FUBAR", and even more confusing Centre hardware check is returning battery as being fine and calibration ran without a hitch and normally in the past any issues with dud batteries it would fail to calibrate properly.

gonna run Passmark on it, but anyone got any ideas what it might be before I end up yeeting a perfectly good machine otherwise to vendor for what might be an easy fix?
