Just 2 days ago my GPU was working fine. I was playing Dark Souls like normal, then stopped, shutdown, and booted my PC the next day and now my GPU isn't detected by anything as far as I can tell.
I tried:
- undoing a Win11 update to a version which previously worked
- installing drivers (did not work due to not detecting GPU)
- downgrading to Win10,
- changing the BIOS PCIe settings to Gen 4
- updating my BIOS and doing the same
- unplugged and reinstalled my GPU. I looked at the power cables and they appear fine, same with the PCIe connectors except that there looks to be insulation from the PCB on some of the pins(?). Attached is an image of it
I'm nearly at a loss for what to do next. Unsure yet if it's caused by the motherboard, GPU, or a software issue. My next courses of action are to clean the connectors with 90% isopropyl, try a different slot with riser cables (GPU won't fit in the 2nd slot), and trying a different GPU in the same slot.
Any help or insight is appreciated. Thanks.
