#BSOD new MB + RAM

My first thought is that RAM kit does not appear to be compatible with this motherboard:
Have you tried just using two sticks?
You are right.. the memory is not on the mb compatibility list. That's pretty frustrating. I bought all the parts together from a reputable site. You would think they could have warned me.. I mean.. computers.. right?
Yep, there are only a few kits from that list that are supported for all 4 slots.
That is why I suggested running only two of the sticks in the slots shown in that photo, to at least get the system running. It MIGHT be more of an issue with the capacity of the kit and less to do with the actual sticks themselves.
Could be. I have to yank them all and send them back.
To get a compatible kit yes, but you have the option to try using two awhile you order the new kit, and do the return after the new kit is confirmed as working, if the return window is long enough that is.
BTW, why did you get 128GB of RAM in the first place? That is excessive.
Running virtual machines
Understood, I have never messed with those. Good luck getting the system stable.
