I have just received my new MSI Stealth 16 AI studio. This laptop was purchased new through one of the approved sellers on the MSI website. This new laptop has many conserning software problems. When I first received the laptop, I didn't see the windows setup screen, but instead the desktop. I thought maybie it had been set up for testing, and reset it. Everything was normal durring the setup process, but when I logged on to the system after setup, I noticed there were lots of pre installed apps. I understand this is normal practice for companies, but things just got stranger from there. I am blind, so I turned on the built in Windows screen reader. Usually, on a new laptop, it starts in English, and English is the only installed language. This laptop however, started in what sounded like Chinese. After figuring out how to change the language back to English so I could understand what the computer was saying, I tried to open Windows virus and threat protection. I got an error stating that this page was blocked by my IT admin. I am the only one who uses this laptop, and I had only set it up about 30 minutes ago. I had finally had enough, and downloaded a Windows 11 ISO onto a flashdrive to do a compleat reinstall. When I booted into the flashdrive, it couldn't find any drives to install Windows on. I cannot reinstall Windows no matter what I try. What is happening, and how do I get rid of all this bloatware and have access to Windows defender?

You are doing the right thing by creating an installation media on a USB and starting from scratch, and not relying on MSI's installation.

I would only ask what size of USB are you using, and did you formatt it to FAT32 before installing the windows installation onto it?

I also have to ask that you ran the windows installation executable and selected that USB drive as the target correct? I have to ask because someone recently dragged and dropped the downloaded windows installation creation tool onto the USB thinking that was where it ended.

I used rufus to format a usb that is 64 gigs. I then booted from that usb. There was no sound in this installer, so I had to get assistance with the instalation. I cannot install Windows, because the internal drive doesn't show when it asks where to install Windows. No drives show up.
