So I have a old acer v223w monitor and my laptop screen fell off the hdmi has been working with my 1080 x 1920 tv but not my 1680 x 1050 I’m confused why but last time I was using my monitor with my laptop I was using the extend screen I think that’s the issue but I’m not sure someone please help me if you come to find this and you help thank you

Yeah, I did not even get that far. I was trying to figure out what cable you were using to connect the laptop to the monitor, since the laptop appeared to have a barrel plug coming off the left, and what looks like a string coming off the top, and the monitor seems to have power on the left and a VGA display cable on the right.

the "string" is either the wifi antenna or the eDP cable of the screen that broke off
