#external hdd freezing on warzone 2

Okay so I have prob760m-p ddr4 motherboard and for some reason when I run warzone 2 I use my external hard drive which is a WD black p10 5tb game drive when I use that the fps drops and the game like litterally freezes and then goes and then freezes and then goes is it a bios update I’m needing or something I just bought my hdd like 1 week ago but when I play other games like rdr 2 story mode it’s fine can anyone possibly help me please?

Only way to check what the problem is if you install on an internal drive

If it works fine on an internal drive it's most likely the external hard drive

#

You may also want to update your gpu driver

When I try to install my internal drive it makes a clicking sound

I have an internal ssd but when I want to try to see the internal hdd vs the hdd usb I can’t because the internal hdd

Idk man it just looks like I’m going to have to suck it ip it litterally says my usb hard drive is really good so. I’m not to sure and I paid a lot of money for it so maybe it’s just normal for that to happen on an external hdd

It says it lasts up to 40 years also

Yea if you say you can run rdr2, you should be able run warzone

I just don’t know what’s going on man it works with rdr 2 so I’m thinking maybe it’s not a hard drive issue but it’s an auctual game issue

Because think about it hdd is slower then ssd and when u hop on warzone lobby u need to render map and other players moving fast

And also I had fps stutters and glitches from battlefield 2042 on Xbox app

I’m almost noticing story mode games don’t lag and multiplayer games do

I don’t know what the fuck is going on to be honest

I mean I wouldn’t even say that it could be just maybe steam works best

I installed some battle royal game that I don’t really know about so I am going to test that out right now.

Also am I supposed to have epic games launcher??? And apps such as steam and the download era on the same drives I will be installing the games on?

Or is it fine if I have the installers on my c drive and then just install the games on my D drive?

It's just in this case you can see if installing battle.net on you p10 would make the game playable

You do also have to take into consideration that HDD read and write speeds are really low compared to SSD drives

And cod is a demanding game

Yeah ik but like I feel like there is something wrong here because I’m there is a performance difference but the game should not be u playable also
