Hi guys, I have a serious problem with my fps in every game, I bouht this pc 2 years ago at 1600€ with an rtx 3060 and an i5 10400f for CPU. Is it possible that I do like 90fps or less in any game? I always had this problem and no support couldn't help me, I also tried everything for fix it in these 2 years, I watched so many videos but still nothing. I use Fortnite for example, but i have this problem on every game, I do 100-70fps in Public games with performace mode, when a my friend with the same pc but with a rtx 3050, does like 200fps stable. Please i really need help with that because I'm really going to became crazy.🙏🏻

i did
Also be mindful that if you're playing natively on a 4K monitor and your friend is gaming on a 1080p monitor, then your fps will be lower than your friend's.
1080p same as my friends
We know your CPU and GPU, how about ram,or what kind of storage you're using.
Also high temps can throttle your performance
Low FPS compared with your friend could also be due to software issues.
i have 16gb of ram
but i have that problem in every game
nono the temps are normal
I'm sorry to hear that.
Make sure you have the latest updates
Check your motherboard's support page.
What have tried to fix this issue?
i have
yes
1080p relies on cpu
maybe its just your cpu showing its age
it is almost a 4 year old cpu
and i know fortnite is surprisingly a demanding game
no it’s running perfectly
not only fortnite
Running at what speed? Compared to your friend.
Have you compared the exact settings you are running to your friend?
Do you know what programs are running in the background?
yup
nothing i always close all
exept sometimes discord for call
Was this a laptop or desktop?
desktop
I would be interested in seeing screenshots/pictures for the following:
-
Pictures of the desktop with the side panel off.
-
Picture of a full part list to know what all is part of the system.
-
Screenshot of the CPU & GPU temps & clock speeds with the game running.
-
Screenshot of what GPU driver is currently installed.
-
Screenshot of benchmarks for Cinebench and Heaven to see if the results you are getting are to be expected.
-
Screenshot of your NVIDIA Control Panel settings.
-
Screenshot of your in game settings.
in dm or here?
Here, so anyone else can see the same things.
Or you can recreate the build in PC Part Picker and paste the link to the build.
10 min and illl start to send the images
im sending some of what u asked
these are the fps 💀
with a 3060💀
can un tell me how can i do the 1, , 3 and 5_
1 is just literally taking the side panel off the PC and taking pictures of the inside.
3 would just be taking screenshots of whatever software you were using to say your temps were normal. A good one would be CPUID HWMonitor. Just make sure you download it from a legit site.
5 is just downloading benchmarks that stress test your parts and give a score at the end that you can compare to other parts to see if they are running within spec.
Unfortunately I cannot read the NVIDIA settings since they are not in English.
The lower the resolution the more work your CPU has to do vs the GPU. I would put your game settings to Full Screen and bump that resolution to full 1080p to see if you notice any difference.
they are, i just used the window mode for take the screen
but 80fps in public
You can snap a photo of your entire screen with Windows+Print Screen.
i have a 60% keyboard
Understood. Would you be willing to do those other three things to help people know if your system is running as expected in things other than those games?
i used geforce isn't it good?
for the 3
GeForce gave you live temp readings of the temperatures for your CPU and GPU?
yes
this benchmark?
I would post that image that you sent me in this forum, but that only gave you GPU temp. There was no CPU temps. CPUID HWMonitor also records what the max temp for nearly everything in your system, so you would be able to tell if there are spikes.
I recommended Cinebench and Heaven because there are a lot of results from other people to see if your system compares.
I don’t know anything about that benchmark.
It would help if you had a way to monitor CPU temps because if you get a low score and it turns out you are thermo-throttling then it could be a clue that you need a different cooler or to reseat your cooler.
Specifically look for Cinebench R23.
That could be something. You are running in single channel memory.
wdym?
what is channel memory
the ram?
Typical consumer motherboards have two channels that they can run with their memory. In order to run in both channels they would need a stick of ram in both channel slots. Your system only has a single stick of ram, so it can only run in 1 channel.
do yo think thast is the problem?
Could be a factor, but I haven’t seen any videos that say it would cut your performance in half.
How large a capacity is that single stick of ram?
You can check by going to Task Manager, pull up performance and look under memory.
16gb
Alright, that will be something to take note of, but shouldn’t be why you are seeing such large issues.

have i to start?
I really want to see what the temps are on that CPU. Maybe one of the screws on the cooler is loose, the cooler is slightly raised on one side not making proper contact, or someone left the plastic on under the cooler so it isn’t able to transfer heat.
Start a multicore run.
You don’t need multiple runs to stress test it, a single run is fine for now.
it takes 10 min but its fine
anywway when can i see the temps?
i have w11, is it the same?
You should be able to adjust the duration of the test by changing minimum test duration from off, 10 min, or 30 min.
Go to file and check advanced benchmark.
where is advanced benchmark
ok okay
the 10m one is end but i havent seen any temp
so i have to try with 30m one right?
i got 6980pts
Nope, this will not show temps, just a score to see how it is performing. You would need other software to see temps.
The duration of the test would just show stability of the system and to see if it would crash. You do not have a crashing problem. You have a performance problem.
I have seen other videos of people running this same test with the same CPU, and their scores are higher. Can you find CPUID HWMonitor so we can check what the CPU is doing, and what kinds of speeds it is running at?
yea I’ll finish to eat the dinner and i’ll be right back
i’m here
