A few months ago i was about to play a scrim but i wanted to connect my earbuds and headphones like it was a lan event doing so made my controller (not wired at the time) have delay for ever basically.
So i started to play wire and overclocked it as well as change in game setting from 0.3 to 0.01 (game files tainput or something) it felt fine so I played with it

Months later i got stick drift with the right stick so i bought a dualsense egde to replace my old normal ps5 controller, i connected it and it felt weird, i try to overcloak it but didnt work i felt delay so i went back to old controller and felt delay even with my old wire

I tried deleting game and steam, getting nvida inspecter to change to ulta low latency cause control panel didnt have it, i tried ds4 windows etc, i even tested both contollers with xinput and it was 0.8 or 0.9 ms every time, but when i go in game i feel delay and its unplayable

i updated drivers for geforce and have latest windows update,

is there anything i can do, been searching google for 2 weeks now maybe more

i have a gt 83 vr 7re titan sli there is like zero things about the computer about this problem on yt and google
the game is rocket league can anyone help?

Hey @sour frost Have you tried troubleshooting in Windows Safe mode?

#

Check if it's a device driver issue.

#

I don't play with controller, use earbuds, or bluetooth

sour frost
#

How would i do that?

grizzled hornet
#

so I'm just throwing it out there as a suggestion.

Ill try it thx

yeah in safe mode third party drivers aren't loaded. only the necessary windows services, basic drivers... networking depending on type of safe mod

#

mode.. but yeah safe mode helps see if third party drivers could be the issue

If ur still on

#

How will i be able to use my monitor or controller if 3rd party application is off?

It's like a process of elimination.

#

It worked

#

Idk what services or startup was the issue

#

But after turning it off it worked

#

Thanks man been trying to fix this for a while now

@sour frost hmm Idk. I don't play with a controller or Rocket League.

#

Do you get input delay issues playing solo?

#

Or just when online playing multiplayer matches?

#

Are you on WiFi? Try ethernet/wired.

#

It's tough figuring out delay and lag issues in games.

#

If you're playing on WiFi, try restarting your networking devices... modem and router/ combo

#

Have you considered a Windows reset or clean install?

#

If you're not doing this already, try closing unnecessary programs before playing.
