MSI GS75 Stealth - Computer won't boot up

Hi everyone - sorry if this is the wrong spot to post this.

I own a late 2019 MSI GS75 Stealth and have pretty much used it as a desktop replacement (semi closed most of the time connected to an ultra wide monitor) since. I hardly ever shut down the computer and let it sit on sleep/hibernate.

I took the laptop on a flight recently and when I came home and opened the laptop up, the screen was still black and the machine wouldn’t power on.
When the power brick was connected, I would see a little indicator light until what I presumed was when the battery was fully charged.

I attempted a CMOS reset with the little hole on the back to no avail, really. When I plugged in my charger then the fans would get going, but nothing else.

Then I opened the laptop, removed the battery for 20 mins… to no avail.
Then I opened the laptop, unplugged and replugged the CMOS battery … to no avail.

I ordered another CMOS battery in hopes that that component is just dead, but lmk if there’s any recommendation y’all have other than that

So I think I figured it out? I saw that the power button ribbon was all smushed and contorted and it came unplugged from the computer shell. But I’m wondering if I should replace it if it got slightly smushed
