#msi afterburner settings (need help)
24 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
whole pc is being weird since i installed afterburner lol
@lean bramble so i tried swapping the highlighted cable with a diff one, idk if the other ones are even plugged into a power source or not but i tried
i got no idea what that chip is in front of the gpu. i dont think its an audio card but i got no idea
i clean it every few months but its been years since ive paid attention to whats what with this thing
all other fans are working. i even wrote down their fan speeds bc i figured i might need that info sooner or later
i have 6 fans 2x processor 2x memory 1x pci 1x hard drive according to diagnostic
and apparently somehow all of them are already set to diff speeds which i was gonna try to do
the msi afterburner is running my small fans much higher than i want them. noise is very bad. seems to have finally died down a bit after i finally got the fan curve to apply
the clock wouldnt stop trying to go + and every time i try to set it to 0 the value would practically double. when it started saying +136 i said oh shit and got on discord haha
i did a scan and now its stopped moving and now says curve
when i click on curve it just loads endlessly and does nothing
well...its been a very long day. practically terrible in most ways lol. im gonna call it a night and check back in tomorrow in like 13-14 hrs
best case scenario i find out what told my fans to stop running and no longer need afterburner at all. other than that. just making sure afterburner is running right and it set up right so i dont damage my computer
thanks for the help
.
just got done with a recording thought id come share bc why not. i doubt running afterburner will affect my pc operation, idk. but so far it seems the curve i set is much more effective than the current settings.
i tried googling it last night but i dont think i saw where to change each individual fan speed
if it was the numbers i wrote down i wouldnt know how to set them regardless. atm i only know what % i want them at for what temperature
i just did a game in duelyst 2. as of yesterday task manager generally showed my gpu at around 45/46c i believe. now its a cool 33
if i break out the elgato or do a game of LoL i can get a better feel for the cooling diff but its too early for that yet. i need to make sure the fans are gonna STAY running first lol
