Have you tried different USB ports?

Try this mentioned in the above post: Unplug the mouse, hold the Left, Mid, and Right mouse button and then plug the mouse in for about 5 seconds to reset your mouse.

You could also try uninstalling your mouse driver, then reinstalling

Do you recall doing anything differently or make any sort of changes to your PC before your mouse stopped working?
