#what options in the advanced bios options would let me change the power limit option

Or something that messes with sleep mode since it might be that my GPU is always on sleep mode
First update your GPU driver, then check if windows needs to update.
Your GPU will clock down when you're not playing a game or doing anything intensive, are you sure it's actually stuck at 210 MHz? Have you checked while playing a game?
I've treid unistalling afterburnner and stuff it still isn't working
I've nowerd it down to the bios since everything else is fine I jus don't know what in the bios does this
Have you tired updating the bios?
yep
Have you used ddu to uninstall your gpu driver and then reinstall it without afterburner installed?
yes I said this already
Have you tried looking into advanced power plan settings?
no
where's that?
Control panel > Hardware and Sound > Power options > change plan settings > change advanced power settings >
You will get a popup box/dialog box
You can check/modify settings there
Steps are for Win10 but can be followed in Win11
search for Control Panel if you can't find it
ok done it
You can also try removing laptop batter for at least 30 minutes
see if that resets gpu stuck in "sleep" or something
ofc power down your laptop first
oh yeah... bios are different depending on vendors... but I recall seeing a way to disable hibernate mode in bios for MSI
you could look into that, disabling hibernate via bios
Do a search for C-states in bios
I think C-states are powersaving features for PC, desktops
Make sure to backup all important data and make notes of settings before changes are made
yoo i have the same one
Good luck!
I turn off my systems when I'm done. If you have use cases where you need to leave your laptop always on, then proceed with caution when making changes in bios 🙂
Alright I will
I see cp c state but not for GPU
Any of these settings will help me out
Have you looked at your NVIDIA control panel settings?
Since your GPU is still stuck on 210mhz.. have you tried resetting your BIOS to default settings?
Restore default settings, save and reboot
still nothing
the wierd part is that if I run a gpu monitor program like gpu z it acts normal again
An option of last resort... factory reset?
already treid nothing still
Damn it looks like I’ll have get a new pc huh
If your laptop is still under warranty, I would contact MSI support directly and see if they can help
If even a factory reset... and restoring bios defaults, reinstalling gpu related software still can't unstuck gpu stuck at 210mhz, then I don't know.. maybe hardware issue?
good luck
It’s not welp it’s time to get some money
Reinstall windows before throwing the whole pc out, it's likely just a bug
Already did sadly
Yeah they kinda work but you need a GPU monitor running in order for them to work
How old is this GPU?
like 1 1/2 years old
Did you buy it new or used?
new
Damn, I have no clue then
I’m having the same issues 😞
People are saying roll back the bios to older versions until you find one that works, but other than that i can't find a tried and true solution
How would you do that?
Read the entire thing before doing it. Also your bios may be connected to your laptops model number since it's not a regular motherboard
Please let me know if it works.

Select your model and the bios will be listed
With the latest 11th Gen. Intel® Core™ i7 processors and powered by NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 30 series graphics, the Sword 15 is optimized to unleash true performance during gameplay. The new Sword 15 is built with the same exquisite craftsmanship used to for
Try the newest bios first, and if that doesn't work, try older ones
where to find the older ones I mean
I see the newer one but that's it
Msi doesn't list em, there's a way to find specific versions by changing the url name. But try the newest first and see if that changes anything
I already did
trying right now to findold bios versions
Not sure how to find em exactly...
There may be a reset button on the bottom of the laptop, can you press and hold it for 30 seconds without being attached to the charger cable?
Any solution yet?
no, probs just gonna save up to get a new pc
Update
getting a new pc
