Frozen laptop issue

Just booted up my brand new laptop and it froze on me, it wasn’t turned on at the wall so that happens which is fine, but it stayed frozen and I can’t even turn it off.

I’ve tried the power button my only option is to try and let the battery die but if that doesn’t work I’ve got no idea what to do

If it helps I have an MSI GF63 Thin, RTX 3050

Have you held the power button down for 10 seconds?

I held it down for about a minute earlier and nothing happened, just tried again and it worked. Tf was that about and how can I prevent it in the future😭
