#HOT TAKES

leaving the toilet seat up, shit aim getting piss EVERYWHERE, even if u make it in the toilet the splash alone gets everywhere
If that happens I grab toilet paper and wipe it down unless it's someone else's piss
and yall should use toilet paper STOP THE SHAKING
farrah's takes are always so valid
thank u toorie
farrah for president đ
and yall need to normalize hand washing after this is why i dont shake hands with men
I think that's a weak sauce take
piss all over the bathroom isnt enough for u huh
even if u aim right unless youre child sized the splash gets everywhere
And who isn't washing their hands wth
I don't know anyone who doesn't wash their hands after using the restroom
women r gross too dont get me wrong but the standing while pissing needs to be reserved for wilderness activities
People who don't are nasty
Should be shot
lmfao
Guys should wash their hands before AND after using the bathroom ngl
Why are you touching your peepee with dirty hands and why are you wiping your dirty peepee hands on the doorknob and everywhere else
the amount of men who don't wash their hands in public bathrooms is horrifying
before is crazy tho ngl
Anyone who has to change the soap in public bathrooms will tell you that the men's soap gets changed so much less than the women's because men don't fucking use it it's disgusting
yeah its pretty gross seeing guys just skip it or go for the 5 second water-only rinse
Obviously I'm not talking about anything done while seated but not washing your hands before touching your genitals is insane imo
But then again there's a lot of men who won't wash their peen and who don't even wash their booty because they think it's gay or makes them "less alpha" or something dumb like that
this!! i worked at a grocery store as my first job and i had to clean the restrooms and i would replace the womens soap dispensers (two of them) at least once a day, but the men's ones only needed to be replaced like once every week. and the men wouldn't mention it to customer service at all like the women did. not washing your hands in general is so icky
car alarms shouldn't exist
why do they exist
i'll amend this, car alarms shouldn't exist in cities
Am from small town, can confirm that no one gives a shit in small towns either and they're still annoying af
Big cities shouldnât exist inside car alarms if we being honest
existing shouldnât be honest inside of cities car alarms
Shouldnt existing be in cities alarms in cars
Yes
Hot take: Fantasy football is basically sports dnd and you're just as nerdy for playing fantasy football as you are for playing dnd
Hot take (*possibly): Hytale is basically reskinned Minecraft
As an avid sports lover, DnD lover, and fantasy hater, i disagree strongly. Playing DnD doesnât ruin how you watch other fantasy goblin movies or whatever, fantasy sports absolutely changes how you watch sports for the worse
hot take: i should be given $20 from everybody i encounter
story games are kinda mid
that IS a hot take
maybe they just ain't for you? if a game got no good story (at least, if it's not the central aspect) I get so bored
i feel like u can just watch something on netflix instead of playing a story game if u want a good story lol
Cus u play shitty ones
and u never watched good movies
monochrome pfps are fighting
I did not say movies are mid
i didnât say that u said movies are mid
If you want to say Schindler's List is a bad movie, that's on you
now you are comparing a real story with made up ones
Films can be fiction
Games can be based on reality
Name 3 story games you have completed
why
bro arguing with someone who doesnât agree with him đ leave me be bro
itâs just my opinion
Lol ok
If thatâs an argument then I must be getting in goddamn FIST FIGHTSđ¤Łđ¤Ł
in the trenches
This is a hot take that needs a hear me out and a "please read the entire thing" warning: Christopher Nolan's movies are overhyped.
NOW HEAR ME OUT
A lot of them definitely deserve a lot of the praise they got HOWEVER, I think some of the hype is literally just the fact that it's a Nolan movie and if a different director made it, it wouldn't be praised the same way, even when everything was the same. Like, does anyone actually remember the plot to interstellar, or do we all just remember the soundtrack? Cuz that's just Hans Zimmer's movie at this point imo.
He makes good looking shit, I won't disagree on that. But his movies are very much 'film bro' type movies and nowhere near revolutionary.
Movies in general are overhyped
What happened to just good olâ feel good movies
All these movies nowadays just have to have a deeeeper meaning and incite all these thoughts and negative feelings
Like give me a break
A mental break
LMAO
Film bros don't watch them and smaller movie makers don't have the money to make them anymore so everything has to be good enough to make money
Romcoms used to be so peak and made Soo much money
But like my bestie and I's favorite movie genre whenever we hang out is shitty shark movies
A while ago we watched the entire final destination franchise in one sitting for the first time
Like shit movies are so much fun
Itâs wild though because I feel like a 2h movie is a huge time commitment but Iâll happily binge 6 hours of a tv show
Bring back non-serious movies
FRRR
for a second I thought you said FNAF franchise and I was like omg yea same Iâve rewatched the theories too
Dude, I LOVE the Lord of the Rings... But I also sometimes just want to watch 1.5 hours of Floridians running from an alligator high on meth yknow
Also, in the same vein: Let movies handle serious topics while also not taking itself too seriously
Barbie was objectively so dumb sometimes, but that's what made it fun. While at the same time handling heavier topics
Agreed
Like it was heavy fs but a fun watch but Iâd still rather put on the OG Barbie animated movies
Princess and the pauper ANYDAYYYYY
I adore Barbie with all my heart but it will make me cry so if I don't want to cry I'll watch princess and the pauper instead (or 12 dancing princesses, and I also have a secret love for princess charm school)
But I loved how they managed to deal with the heavier stuff while also keeping the fun of "they don't have doors and float down their house cuz that's how you play Barbies" like fuck yeah we love whimsy
Yknow
Helllll yes
Like fuck yeah lets talk about the horrors of being a woman under patriarchy while also having John Cena in a wig playing a mermaid
Also very hot take about barbie: the swan lake dress isn't that pretty and I'm tired of people pretending that it is
i don't think nolan is revolutionary, and i don't think that's what makes him popular. to me he's more similar to james cameron - a filmmaker whose plots are somewhat simple and earnest but ties it with incredible production
if you haven't seen it, i highly recommend memento. it's one of his early films made on a small budget but it's one of the most compelling things you'll ever watch
to me, film bro directors are people like quentin tarantino or david lynch, not so much christopher nolan
Interstellar is my number 1 movie so yes I remember the plot. It is one of the few that can keep you pulled in the entire almost 3 hours and not feel dragged out. Also one of the few movies that is enjoyable to rewatch. Most movies I only watch once because I have such good memory, but if it's really good I will watch multiple times. That said I don't automatically like all the movies he directs. I didn't fully understand the plot of Tenet and Oppenheimer was mid. Out of all his movies I only care for Interstellar, Inception, and Dark Knight franchise
It's just the way they are filmed, the actors he picks are usually perfect, the plot progression, and then the way they are edited in post that make them masterfully crafted, so I don't think he's an overhyped director. He is just one of the best of our generation. It's like saying Tom Brady is an overhyped quarterback
I was with you till ur example was interstellar. I fear you have tiktok brain if you canât remember any of that amazing movie other than the music
denis villeneuve too
The Beatles are ass, not even a top 400 band all time, and if not for the mere accident that got them famous heavily relying on something similar to The Garmlich effect, none of us wouldâve ever known a single one of them. Also, only one person in the band had any actual musical talent and it was mediocre at best
That person is Yoko Ono
*Cue Yoko Ono screaming clip
George Harrison is not mediocre
drop the music u listen to
think he meant me
poe
Apparently these guys only talk to each other and ignore everyone else idk
You have to be in the clique
i never acknowledge anyone except for the cow god
The Cow is strong with this one
ah yes, a staff member who only talks to one other personđź
I saw your deleted comment I'm not bothering you at all
we run a tight ship over here
staff get put in the dungeon if they talk to anyone else other than the one person theyâre permitted to
Howâs that new amp?
amp modeler*** and it's fucking lit
i dont turn my amps on anymore
why would i turn on my blues deluxe when i can have a twin and switch to the marshall stack with the click of a button
This is true I retired because it was lonely only talking to myth
That was my assigned 1 person
Anyways I have a hot take guys
Raspberry jam >>> Strawberry jam
hard agree
never answered my question
You never asked a question
jam is mid I don't usually like it BUT raspberry jam is tolerable
If you're having peanut butter have it solo that shit slaps why do you need sugar paste too
im fine with a little jam on cookies

Not a question. No question mark, no asking involved, just demands. I deserve better than this đ¤
What music do you listen to, Mr poeticle?
Donât answer them they are trying to steal your identity
hot take everybody should share what music they listen to hehe
personally i listen to twenty one pilots (though im on a break from them rn), pearl jam, paramore, green day, and laufey
I listen to bad bunny
Hot take: "drop what music you listen to" should be it's own thread (and I'm pretty sure there's already several)
wait real
Life in SoCal rly is peak
Itâs winter rn and the weather is gorgeous
Seasonal depression who????
Okay but you will never know that feeling of the first warm days in spring when you drop everything you were doing to bask in those sunrays you missed for so long
Like that feeling is genuinely euphoric ngl
Where is that
I ran 4 miles on Saturday on the beach boardwalk not to flexđđđ

The average October-May window view in my city

Hot Take: the safety on Bic lighters shouldnât exist. Everyone removes them anyways and if you can accidentally light a lighter without one, you 100% deserve any of the consequences that comes with it
OMG u just reignited one of my old stoner woes
i dont get it
I miss living in So. Cal
wait when did u leave
I was stationed there from 2012-2016. I've lived just north of Sacramento since. Still really nice weather, just a little more variety
ohhhhh makes sense
those years were peak time to be in socal ngl
Real
The fact that politics leak into sports and entertainment ruins the entertainment factor and makes it all about the politics
what about jackie robinson
Sports is political because you can't do sports if you're being murdered in the streets by masked men who are backed by the government hope this helps
Watch 42 it's a documentary about Jackie Robinson it shows how America has grown to accept all
yeah but at the time he was doing something political
Politics and entertainment are hand-in-hand
lol ok
Not all of it should be, but your beliefs reflect on your art
Especially for important issues
i don't think we have sports and entertainment without politics
music doesnt exist apolitically
False
Look at sports in the 90s and early 2000s very little politics
Now all it is is politice
It was all politics in the past too homie... Never heard of the 1936 Olympics?
Look at the first baseball game in NYC after 9/11
Yeah art and sports can exist without politics, or at the very least it has a limited influence
Sports is especially political in the US where people can't afford to go to college so they'll try to do so through sports scholarships... Needing to do a sport to get an education because you're otherwise deemed too poor to get one is inherently political
No it's not
Nuh uh he said
And even then the lack of political influence is a political statement in and of itself. It means that the artist is priveleged enough to not have to think about politics to a degree where it influences their work
People can't afford the absurdly expensive college isn't political ats messed up
At that point you're really being pedantic though
But you are right, most things are political
Star Wars didn't suddenly become political in 2015
But they don't have to be
i think michael jordan staying silent on rodney king and LA riots was a political stance
Look at Dolly Parton she refused to say anything in the political landscape because shes an entertainment not politics
Also I do disagree, some people just like making things for the hell of it or just because they find something
Watch that that's the way it should be
Cow tools isn't some deep thing, just meant to be nonsensical
And there's nothing wrong with that
Like I said, she has broken that rule herself
At least with BLM
Dolly Parton: 'Of Course Black Lives Matter' : NPR https://share.google/tqjRJai2TuilRdRoT
They may not but you can't control what people believe and stand for
And sometimes it's good to be political
Bad Bunny, while I didn't really dig his performance had a good message
Like when? Being political has ruined family and friendships
In government that's it
It's important, and people whether you like it or not will speak about it
Unless you'd rather have entertainment companies and the nfl ban all political discussions
Which itself is political by going against our first amendment right
It affects us all
While it may be unhealthy to care and be so laser focused on politics, it happens and will continue to happen
As long as people disagree or believe in something they'll speak on it
Whether it's booing Israel at the winter Olympics or taking a knee during the national anthem
Ik
I thought sports are the one time we can set aside differences and celebrate athletic achievement
Itâs like an escape and distraction from the bs
So I actually agree that politics should stay out of sports
Just like how politics should stay away from celebritiesâď¸âď¸ the audacity they have telling normal ppl what to do
Itâs like what Ricky gervais said
Do I need to point at the 1936 Olympics again...? You can preach that something should be escapism however much you want, but that's not gonna stop a fascist from hijacking a global event to promote their fascism yknow... Also, athletes are human beings who are sometimes victims of political systems and it's important that they get a platform to speak out, even if that makes you uncomfortable.
It's true that celebrities are on a different level than us 'normal' folks, but they also have huge platforms and are able to spread stuff much easier than us. If something horrific is going on, it's good that a celebrity speaks out instead of making normal people do all the dirty work. There's definitely a lot to say about the pedestal we put them on and I think a lot of them need to be dragged off their high horses, but politics is kind of something that you can't really escape from once the system decides that you are its next victim.
i get what youre saying, history obviously shows politics and sports intersect whether we like it or not. athletes are humans with lived experiences. i'm not arguing that they should be silenced or that propaganda never happens. i think my point was more about WHY people gravitate toward sports and entertainment in the first place, a lot of us want at least one space that isn't constantly politicized.
and with celebrities, i'm less bothered by them speaking and more by the tone some take, like lecturing people who live different lives. using a platform to raise awareness is different from moral grandstanding
That's fair
Tho I don't think I could ever see sports as non-political (at least not high-level) sports because of all the ways it has been politicized. Like the way women were excluded out of sports for so long. The way trans people aren't allowed to compete because of supposed advantages while people with random genetic traits that make them extremely good at their sport are able to compete anyway (this is NOT an invitation for anyone to start debating trans people, I am not looking for a discussion on that too).
I think people should be allowed to have their personal escapisms, but I also don't think people should be silenced because their career happens to be in an escapism field. I understand feeling overwhelmed with the state of the world (I sure am) but I think it should be a personal thing where you decide to step away from the screen if a political statement is made, rather than criticising the statement itself
American and Israeli athletes got a lot of hate at the Olympics because of political stuff, I don't think they deserve it, they're there to compete in sports, not deal with whatever political issues are happening. And just because someone has a platform doesn't mean they need to use it to speak on topics they aren't qualified to talk about or address. There's a difference between stepping away completely vs acknowledging it vs actively promoting it, people can be mindful of the issues that are happening and not try to control every moment around it, it happened to the North Korean athletes in 2018, doesn't mean they had to abandon everything completely, they knew there was a difference in the treatment but focused on their sport anyways
From what I've seen (on the American side at least) it wasn't the athletes getting hate but Vance every time his face showed up on screen. If anyone comes after the athletes themselves for what their government does, that's a real shitty thing to do. Though, it's fair if the athlete is a piece of shit (looking at the Dutch beach volleyball guy who was allowed to compete despite being convicted of SA of a 12 year old. That guy deserves all the hate but that's because of who he is as a person.)
I'm also not saying that every single athlete should speak up (god knows I want certain athletes from my country to shut the fuck up) but they should be given a platform if they desire.
fr. "Accept your award. Thank your God, and f*ck off" lol
I donât get the tv show survivor obsession
Shocking too bc it seems like the perfect show for me but I just canât get into it ever
I will somewhat agree with keeping sports and politics separate. There is a line to be crossed. We are not in a geopolitical climate where politics is separate from anything, because people are being kidnapped off the streets by their government. Believing in human rights shouldnât be a political stance, but here we are. We donât get the luxury of separating entertainment from the atrocities of the world and acting as though everything is fine, because it is not. Also, when athletes are being transvestigated and politicians want invasive body exams to âproveâ somebody is male or female, thatâs an invasion of politics into sports that many in the âkeep politics out of blankâ camp donât seem to mind. The halftime show is a concert, itâs art. Art is inherently political and it reflects the geopolitical climate. Itâs meant to be disturbing and provoking. If you ignore politics for the sake of comfort, you also ignore the problems that political art showcases.
I agree. Idk what the real catch is for me. I have a friend whoâs super into it and I love that for her, but I just canât get into it.
Cherry jolly rancher is the best flavor
I myself prefer the old Cinnamon Fire ones
I like watermelon the best
hot take: college students shouldn't have to work a fulltime job to be able to afford school + financial aid does jack shit for those of us who are solidly middle class but who can still not afford college and thats a problem.
Is it a hot take though? Anyways, I love living in a country with basically free education
Ice cold take
My hot take is that trade schools are better than traditional university
Unless you go for like the legit majors that get you $$$, sry gender studiers
I'm gonna try to get all the certs I need by myself and skip college route
College is literally scam. Big corpos like Walmart corporate make bachelors degree mandatory for hire but they don't care what field it's in. Doesn't even have to be related to what you apply for lmao. That just tells everyone it's a scam. Pushing college just to keep people indebted
we get paid to go to all our free schools
You need a degree to work in a super market in America? That definitely makes sense...
fr?
No corporate side
yeah
Not retail side
every school after the basic school like 0-9th grade
How does that work?
We have something similar here. I think this makes more sense too.
(translated by google so expect some discrepancies)
I donât think college isnât a scam if youâre smart about it. America has some of the best universities in the world, but people choose literally the most bogus made up majors that donât get them hired sadly
I have friends who went to Ivy League schools for some literal bs and they canât get hired in the field
So trade schools r great bc they literally are training you for a specific career/profession
Plumbers are getting paid 6 figures itâs insane
College is definitely useful and way too fucking expensive in the US.
But... a better option to lifelong student loan debt is serving in the military.
You get your tuition + books paid, a monthly paycheck to pay your bills, and free federal grant $. Works for trade schools too.
unfortunately my career path requires me to get a degree (STEM student problems) but i agree. also community college. if my prereqs and gen eds werent already done because of running start, i would have done community college and transferred to a traditional university. but yes, trade schools are ideal for a lot of people
this logic doesn't really apply to people working in the sciences. you can self-teach to a certain point but it is near impossible to get any scientific job without at least a BS or BA
also yeah i figured it was, ive also just been frustrated with my college as of late lmao
this doesn't work for those of us with mental conditions and neurological disorders and disabilities though. i wish there was another way besides the military, because they wouldn't let me in due to my mental health history
but!! i know a lot of people who took that route and are happy they are doing so
also a lot of the trades have really low student numbers because people have been conditioned to think college is the only respectable route. so you're basically guarunteed a good job if you take the trade route
Yeah it's def not the solution to a broken system. But helps a few get there who otherwise couldn't
true!! my rotc friends are really happy for the opportunity to serve. i probably would have taken that route if i fit the criteria
Thatâs a legit degree though Iâm talking about liberal arts, gender studies, etc. (sorry to those in those majors ily just not your major)
More ppl should pursue the trades!!!
We need them!!!
True but I don't plan on going into one of those that really need a degree. As long as you have the certifications it shows you know your stuff
Also to the person who said you need a degree to work at Walmart corporate⌠thatâs not the same as working in a Walmart store.
Working with any major corporate requires degrees because soooo many people would kill for those jobs and theyâre competitive
Thatâs like saying omg you need a degree to work at starbucks corporate!!1!1!!! Baristas obviously dont need a college degree to work with Starbucks but yes corporate positions typically do
Yes I know it's not the same as working in retail, I already said that to another person. And also no, it's just just a purposeful barrier to entry that force people to go college route
Just because you have a degree doesn't mean you are more experienced than someone without one
kids come out of college dumb af still
itâs not about forcing people into college, itâs about signaling and filtering. When thousands of people apply for one corporate role, companies need some standardized way to narrow the pool. Obviously the soft skills matter more but this isnât some âbig collegeâ scheme.
yes it is
you can self teach yourself more than college ever could
Doesnât refute my point this is just how the world works
College is not even a personalized experience. You sit in a lecture hall with 75-100 other kids while professor uses same script every year
Degrees arenât magic itâs just a credential
Iâm glad youâve made the right choice for you by not going to college, but youre just engaging in cynicism and conspiracy. There are valid reasons for college and valid reasons to not go to college. Bottom line is if you value employment, gotta play and utilize employer demands
You can say itâs not fair all u want
Also like i said earlier Walmart corporate will hire anyone as long as they have a BS degree, so you could get hired for IT job using a degree in physical education
not conspiracy
Not trying to be mean here btw
Hiring events at my college only
Open to students and certain partnerships for internships have landed me a high paying internship
anything beyond second grade is useless, i can count to 10 and thats enough
So there is definitely a huge benefit just for the connections
also stop using AI to write for you. I can tell,
thats true about the connections
its a sad world when people think anything written well is AI
only valuable thing about college
I can tell by structure even if she denies it
lol no you can't
yes
you know you're just admitting you can't write well right
Grammar inconsistencies in what Farrah said make it seem legit
mixture
Sometimes proper contractions other times not
if only there were places to learn to write well...hm....
Glad no college is working out so well hehe
you said school isn't worth it past 2nd grade
Ya bdap
anyway, getting back to the main point, i think knowledge should be an end in and of itself, and universities should not purely be a place to gain career experience
it's easy to dismiss gender studies but what about stuff like history or astronomy
I agree there is no point in those pyramid scheme degrees
Had many professors say that only purpose of studying their degree is to teach others in my electives classes
yeah and i think that's fine
Not as a horror story, just as an idea that you need to be passionate
most of those degrees don't get a lot of funding anyway so there aren't that many people doing them
econ and comp sci make the big bucks for the school
I think when looking at those degrees, 2 year colleges or community colleges are a viable alternative
i think that depends on the person
Ya looking at it from American expensive POV I just find it hard to justify the expense
Going from CC to a top 50 I didnât notice the difference in my general electives
Mainly just my major degree is where the extra rigor and professor knowledge was shown
So I guess just personal experience is why I say that the less useful degrees isnât as big of a difference
i think the difference is only noticeable once you get into top 10 area
and then you get leading historians in the world for example
Yes I agree
oh uni is a scam debate?
Harvard history not the same as my school history
Even if my school is a strong school
At those schools you could probably say everything is better
i know the CC transfer thing debate, but tbh that depends on how CCâs are in your area and where you plan to go to uni after
i went to a top 50 school and i too was not all that impressed with some of the elective stuff
Academia wise
Yes some noobs for sure
Could just ve that schools donât invest in that since everyone knows itâs not the real deal
Self fulfilling type thing
and good professors don't want to teach worse students
even tho CC is less expensive for me i prefer uni cause, first off my
uni is good and also the facilities are nice as hell
im a stem
major so its ok
đ
honestly for stem majors, i feel like they shouldnt do CC transfer
CC transfer and trade schools are both reddit things
rather than CC transfer, take ur gen eds in the summer at CC
or dual enrollment in highschool
youre saving money and time
esp when classes get harder
yeah i just dk how successful it really is to go to CC for 2 years and then 2 years at a good university
I think giving advice like that is on a case by case basis
yeah i was just saying i see those things on reddit all the time
Worked for me
but generally for STEM majors going to uni first would be better ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
but you're a 13 year old boy genius
since also the STEM facilities are nicer too lmao
i dropped out of first grade
If you are capable I donât think CC would stop you
But some people go to CC just to do something
or because they didnt get into the school they wanted to
And now youre a discord mod
Or Covid said you would have to stay home :(
real
i've attained real success
its a fever dream
Iirs like when people say mark zuckerberg dropped out of college
i dont need college, ill learn how to cook meth at home instead of uni!!!
drop acid and stop wearing deoderant like steve jobs
Charles University tuition fees for English-taught programs generally range from approximately EUR 1,020 to over EUR 24,330 per year, depending on the faculty and study program. While tuition is free for studies in Czech, English-language programs, particularly medicine and dentistry, are higher, often ranging between EUR 3,000 and EUR 7,000 annually for many bachelor's programs.
Sucks to speak English
I PAID A LAB FEE ALREADY WYM I NEED TO BUY MORE FOR THE LAB???
WHAT AM PAYING FOR???
WHAT WAS THAT FEE FOR???
Check syllabus to see which professor offer free materials
For services like Pearson or McGraw hill?
Just cut back on the avocado toast
Not that hard
SO I ORDERED IT LATE.
no its seperate shit
Did you tell your professor about all those issues
no i got it in time
You should advocate for yourself
Tell your professor to kiss your a*s
Professors are there to help
Sounds standard
bruh
You seeming picked a science related degree
Do you want old used goggles?
dude had world class teachers in private school btw
Youâre complaining about things you signed up for
Ya makes sense you should buy all the gear now
ALSO A LOCK
Since you will use it for the rest of the year
i know
but also it irritated me that it said recommended not required
also out first lab was just weighing metal and putting it in water
Unabomber đŤľ
kidnap him before he knows who you are
what are you doing bud
show up to the lab
đ
with this talk about uni
i gotta get back to studying
bye
Same
he making money for nothing typical professor behavior
Calc already graping me for being a day sick
dont use that word for that
:(
Which calculus?
Wait Iâm actually so flattered you think AI writes for me
farrahGPT
PREACH
this depends on what school you go to. my university is a lot smaller and my class sizes are usually around 15ish people
Chemistry!?! I got my degree in Chem! Good luck spy
lol im tryna to go into biochem
Grapefruit messes with a LOT of medications. Don't eat it if you're on meds
rn taking gen chem so its boring rqđ but ik itd get harder later
Not much harder. It's like math, if you keep up with it as you go then it's not bad. Organic Chem is a pain but soo useful, and bio Chem is really interesting!
yeah orgo is the weed out class lmao
Lots of stem professors get paid to do and publish research for the university and they usually use their TA's to teach the lower level classes. Plus TA's get paid/ reduced tuition for teaching the classes while they do their masters/PhD programs
I mean... you will also be able to make meth, tnt, diesel fuel, mdma, chloroform, cocaine and a bunch of other things. So... if the biochem degree doesn't work out.. you still have a way of making money đ¤ˇââď¸
the breaking bad way
my chem prof is good tho rn at least lol i was to pick out classes early but the chem department in my
uni⌠ive heard bad stories about the higher lvl profsđ
But it is an existing phenomenon that people are starting to write more like AI
Really? I havenât noticed that myself â I havenât seen any change. Could you provide some examples of this?
Dude I had to change my writing style when I wrote my fucking thesis so the AI checking software wouldn't flag it (cuz it has been known to give way too many false positives)
emdashes are just goated punctuation
I have been using em dashes and oxford commas ever since I learned how to write in English and now I have to suddenly stop??? I'm gonna beat up chatgpt
Don't worry, not only will you have to write in simplified English to avoid setting off AI detectors
You'll also get to use AI to break down a book into easier to understand English!
AI written stuff is a plague upon humanity
Hot take! I think fully AI written stuff isn't as bad as AI ASSISTED. that makes me so mad. Because you know they had genuine thought and intent behind what they were writing but they couldn't be bothered to put in full effort to it. I've read some things that sounded so cool/had such a neat concept but then I realise it's AI assisted (there's tells) and it makes me angry cause I've wasted my time
Full AI my brain naturally filters out by this point so I don't waste my time
Plus instead of mostly generated stuff where the ai has to "do all the work" (not that it does, but you know what I mean) you're feeding your real human thoughts and ideas to its algorithm. You are perpetuating the problem more than people who just generate from its existing bank of ideas.
I agree, I was tutoring UNIVERSITY STUDENTS who would take stuff i walked them through and just dump it into ai and ask me to read the essay draft like they wrote it, like i knew they had the capabilities to go through the info when i walked them through it and they had interesting ideas but just couldn't be bothered to read further or do any work on their own.
I find your perspective interesting and somewhat paradoxical. On one hand, fully AI generated content operates with transparent authorship expectations, meaning the reader understands the nature of its creation from the outset. On the other hand, AI assisted writing introduces ambiguity regarding the origin of ideas, effort, and creative ownership. This ambiguity can create a sense of cognitive dissonance for readers who value authentic human expression. When a piece initially appears conceptually strong but later reveals identifiable AI patterns, it can produce a feeling of misplaced investment. The frustration may stem less from the use of AI itself and more from the perceived dilution of intentional human craftsmanship.
ai's opinion on ai
I will not be ragebaited
I just find it dumb when people say they have to use gen ai because they âcanât drawâ as if itâs an intrinsic ability. Or saying itâs âmore accessibleâ because not everybody has the same access to art supplies as if most of us artists didnât start out with shitty pencils and notebook paper
see thats where im at. i think its really dangerous that kids are finding ways to skip crucial information about learning. kids arent learning how to learn anymore, theyre just completing course material
i fear for the younger generations
100°C or 212°F is the boiling point for water
hot take: i dont trust people who dont read books
Iâve said this before too but smut doesnât count
Sm girls ik are like âim a big book wormâ and itâs all smutđ§đťââď¸
I read some bullshit too (ACOTARđŤśđťđŤśđť) so I donât count either
Reading is reading. Let them enjoy what they read đ¸
this is valid af
an opinion piece about ai destroying colleges
and ai companies bad-faith tactics to get it popular
Agree!! Nothin wrong with reading those books too, but a good book has never let me down and honestly it makes me sad when people say they hate reading
THIS
and like. If you're say, dyslexic or have another reason that reading can be a bit accessible.. Why not listen to audiobooks!
My friend does because she can't read very well. And it's still taking in information and doing good things for your brain
If all you "read" is social media posts and fanfic I pray for u
My hot take is that people who read books are better than those who only do audio books, assuming both have the same ability to read. I say this as someone who has drifted to audio books over the last few years.
How many books do I need to read a year to qualify as a "person who reads books" though?
I agree! that's why i said if reading is inaccessible (except i spelled it wrong LMAO) do audiobooks but its better to read for sure
69
Very funny đ đ¤Ł
I do have a genuine question
Why are so many of the books women read nowadays just straight up smut
Like why do these books sell so many copies
It's a few reasons
Most notably, female pleasure is seen as more of a good thing now, mainstream, society is moving towards normalising it where previously it would be scorned
Social media obviously makes things more accessible - people get book recs, ebooks, ads, etc.
The state of the world makes it very appealing to read escapism books. Smut is usually a lot about escapism and straight up unrealistic ideals.
Also the way it's marketed as something refined -- the cover designs and stuff are a lot more 'friendly', neat and streamlined compared to older covers. It allows people to often get away with reading smut in more situations than previously because you don't always have a naked man on the front cover (that's not GONE, obviously, but it's far more toned down)
Hell a lot of the time I've heard people around my age pick up a book not even knowing it's smut because the cover is innocuous
For an example of what I mean. Nabbed from Instagram
It's also ridiculously easy to write, you can have basically the same plots over and over with different names and a slight change. Hell a lot of them that are series will have 5+ books, they just keep going.....
There's less thought having to be put in to simple escapism stuff because a) realism doesn't have to be a factor, it's all idealised, the author ignore bad stuff if they want to, and b) less worldbuilding generally has to be done. it's not like the complex interwoven universe of lord of the rings + the hobbit, for example, you can straight up have it be like 2020 on earth exactly how it is/was
TLDR: people hate their lives and love themselves so smut helps them not think about how terrible things are + makes them feel better about themselves
I donât have number really. Itâs more like I donât trust people who âhate readingâ and avoid it all together. I myself am too busy to read many books for fun
As someone who likes to read, I just read black beauty by Anna Sewell, I recommend it. I think It's ok if people don't like to read but saying they can't read books tells you a lot about a person.
I just read it for the first time this past week
Itâs so good
Genuinely a classic
Iâm reading âthe dead cat tail assassinsâ rn
Itâs short and kinda like âbook candyâ for me but so far I like it
bro they "cant draw' but i rmb using gacha life instead đ
if they upgraded to smut its different
anyways uhh i count people who read like many mangas and manhwas as someone who still
technically likes to read (depending on the content)
yeah I dont think it has to be a book to count as reading. What about reading research papers, going deep into forum posts, etc. All of that is reading just like a book. You are still absorbing information and learning, especially if it's research based
this is a very good point, and i whole-heartedly agree. i think theres some kind of literature for everybody. i love research papers :))
anything that you read that makes you think is good
social media however... usually it's made so you don't have to think about it. which is therefore not so good (i see people claiming that using Instagram means they're reading... girl no)
and ya!! maybe you just need to find your niche...
mine is/was dystopias. I read other stuff ofc but I'm a sucker for those
I like reading quite a bit
agree 100%
i ended up deleting tiktok and instagram because it was actively making me dumber
đ¤
I only use twitter (in the trenches...)
and ofc discord.
but no insta, snap, facebook, tiktok, etc.
lowkey me too
but i try to stay off twt as much as humanly possible
i just use it to engage in fandom stuff
SAME
tiktok maked me smarted
im ngl ur using the worst platforms rn
discord and twitter combo is lethal
twitter doesn't really have short form video content though
they do its jus all corn and gore
thats what makes insta, tiktok and fb dangerous
true
but if you only use it to interact with fandoms, its not so bad
its still pretty bad
I don't watch videos on twitter I have autoplay and such turned off (mainly for eyestrain)
so it's a little less bad
yeah i avoid twitter it just feeds me politics ragebait
probably because it usually works on me
still a brainrotted tiktok doomscroller though
apparently the algorithm on tiktok will show political ragebait or jus content that will incite negative feelings because viewers are more likely to engage with content more/longer that upsets them
i only have twitter for the rare occasion of looking at an oversea artistâs art
i deleted tiktok after the update (im on reels anyway) but i do think its help me doomscroll less cause reels doesnt always hit
In my experience it basically just keeps you in an echo chamber
I deleted Tik Tok like 5 days ago because it was literally affecting my attention span
Started having problems finishing YouTube videos
ive been using tiktok for so long and i have no issues
i saw somebody say scrolling through short form content is like scrolling through emotions and it rapid fires the chemicals that make you feel emotions and so its like speedrunning emotional disregulation lol
thats what got me to get rid of insta and tiktok
but the attention span thing is real
its like it was the default when i felt any sort of boredom and i hated it
good luck to you btw
getting rid of it is the hardest part
it took me like a month or two to fully readjust and get my emotions back
I haven't really missed it so far just a lot of boredom
Need to fill the space with something else
I was probably spending 2-3 hours a day on it but I cant check now that I deleted it
red hot chili peppers arent good
thats a lukewarm take
i dont hate them but i dont love them either
they have like two good songs but he cant sing for shit
I agree with this
Chad Smith is a goated drummer though
true
discord nitro aint worth it
it's only worth it for pathfinders and i want to edit those big messages with the coords and guidelines
now that they're datamining us all the nitro stuff will be free!
this is probably a lukewarm take but i was thinking about it earlier: not having your kids do chores from a young age is bad parenting. (granted, there is a level of age-appropriate chores that needs to be considered but kids need to learn to do all the chores in the house).
my parents didnt make me do chores until i was 17 or so and then it was really overwhelming because i didnt know how to do a lot of the ones that werent like dishes, sweeping, and taking out the trash
and now i struggle to get chores done because i have way less practice
for the record i do chores
like my parents just never bothered to teach their kids how to do a lot of the chores necessary to maintain a hygienic space because they found it "too difficult"
i used to do all the chores when i was a lil kid in primary school only because i had so much free time
my parents basically never did any and complained when they had to
i did taking out the trash and recycling at like 10
i dont like my food hurting me thats my hot take
You mean spicy food?
It's the opposite, most nitro features existed for free before nitro was a thing, all they've been doing is moving free features under nitro over the years.
The new point system they added is kinda cool at least. You can get their way overpriced profile effects for free now
coldest take ever
some things are useful, the file size, streaming and character limit
not worth $10/m

nutterbutter would've won Free Banned Player if he was here more recently
This is facts
Also yogurt that has the fruit chunks in it should be illegal ohhmg
streets wont forget prime nutterbutter
Do you mean yogurt or jello
What?!? Peaches in vanilla yogurt is amazing
No no Iâm talking about the yogurt comes CHUNKED
Not u adding fruit to it
I bought a cherry yogurt that had chunks of cherryđ¤˘and u know theyâre not fresh
Siggiâs brand. It tasted rly good but the chunks killed me
flavored yogurt isnt good
feel like its hit and miss but misses are more common
unflavored yogurt also isnt good
nonfat plain yogurt + fruit and muesli goes pretty hard
flavored yogurt is just worse dessert
đ i eat yogurt as like a quick easy thing
not a "hmmm lemme whip up some MUESLI and slice up some fruit"
siggi's is actually good tho
that skyrđ¤
minus the chunks
I've been eating the oikos flavoured yogurst recently, still healthy. and not all flavours are "Sweet" theres a cappucino one i really like. I only use unflavoured yogurt for cooking nowadays mostly
actually this!!
you don't need to make your kids basically be a hired cleaner but you can literally teach basic stuff (especially regarding appliances) so easily
I only recently got taught how to use a damn washing machine and it's not that hard đđđ idk maybe if I had known before I would have helped more
marty supreme is bad movie
plain greek yogurt + maple syrup + granola (WITHOUT RAISINS) đ¤¤
oh yeah another hot take: raisins are awful
Ice cold take
okay good to know you're sane
raisins are great
yeah i love raisins
Raisin Bran crunch is good cereal
Yes
Are you also 65 years old
Whatâs wrong with being 65?
my knees were so good when i was 65
nothing i just associate old people with liking raisins
what about chocolate raisins
thats like trying to get a dog to take their medicine by putting it in a slice of cheese
except i have a much bigger brain and can tell when there are raisins in my food
Wait I just learned about the artist hobo Johnson.
GuysâŚ,. there is NO way ppl are listening to tsđđĽđĽđĽđĽ
theres a chance this is someones favorite artist
I only listen to Big John
This stopped working on my dogs after the second time. They learned how to eat all the cheese and spit the pill out
If yâall ainât on that yuno miles youâre wasting your time
how much did your setup cost
$50 million, so kinda on the low end , itâs all I could afford

Sesame is overrated as hell
grape jelly is wack. its the worst jelly
strawberry is just better imo
yesss bro strawberry jam is elite
my fav for sure
Def a hot take but I believe that social media didnât make ppl insecure⌠it revealed it
Blaming the platform avoids internal work
Humans not designed to compare each other's lives like that
That's what makes people insecure, constant comparison
You used to be able to kill people that made you feel bad
That doesn't mean it doesn't apply
Nothing in our genetic makeup is designed for connection on a mass scale like on the Internet
but like, the scale/quantity isn't the origin. what youre talking about increases the intensity. if the scale of people comparing to each other were the cause of insecurity, then everyone in this high exposure world would be insecure (due to social media... everyone's insecure to a degree lol)
i agree that it didnt make people insecure, but it did create a positive feedback loop that perpetuated systemic insecurity
it does have a tendency to expose people to new things to be insecure about though, especially younger girls
theres a whole other discussion about how social media perpetuates extreme beauty standards and harms young girls (in particular, but also just young teens in general)
thats why social media is so dangerous for kids
people dont know to be insecure about something until theyve been told that its something to be insecure about
i didnt know having a big forehead was a thing people were insecure about until somebody told me i have a big forehead and the people around just laughed
also we were never meant to be able to view ourselves to the degree we do
and i guess its not social media inherently, but the fact that trends travel so far so fast and its near impossible to stop
and there is a lot of awful people on the internet who pick on others for how the look, which can also create insecurity
like not invent, but make emerge
theres actually a good video about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtDMyGjYlMg&pp=ygUzd2hhdCBkb2VzIGl0IG1lYW4gdG8gcnVuIGxpa2UgYSBnaXJsIG9yaWdpbmFsIHZpZGVv
puberty in general gives people a lot of new insecurities, but social media perpetuates it
unrealistic beauty standards and being made fun of for their appearance as kids has been making young people insecure for a long time before social media. We still had tv, magazines, billboards and bullies to tell us we were ugly and dumb back in the day.
I think social media is just a more effective medium for this messaging.
Free will does not exist and I can prove it
Depends on how you define "free will"
If I can call everyone that disagrees with me gay am I not engaging in free will
I think a social media ban for children would be good
Kim Kardashian with her frozen botox face is a better actress than Gal Gadot
Is it a hot take for anyone else than children themselves?
I agree but all of the privacy issues that come with proving age and identity are hella annoying for adults
If everything in the universe is just physical matter that interacts and their interactions can be described perfectly by maths and nothing is random, then you only have the illusion of free will. Your conscious experience is just you thinking you are making decisions but you could not have made another one, those atoms are always going to react and touch is a certain way to make you make that decision. There are some assumptions but I think it holds up if you agree with them
ââ
Semi-Hot take: mojang are lazy and pretty shit at developing mc
No ur just a bunch of atoms that was always going to call me gay đ
Actually I changed my mind and you're not gay anymore
If I knew the state of every atom in your body and environment, I could have seen that coming as well
I changed my mind again
Keep enjoying your illusion of free will đ
I already knew that...
Whether free will exists still depends on how you define it.
Yeah I guess
I think a pretty standard definition is that when you make a âdecisionâ, you had the ability to make a different one
Which I argue you donât
And I'd argue that you had the ability to make a different one but you just didn't
But how would you have the ability to make a different one? Your atoms were always gonna react in the specific way to make you make the decision. Your may have âmade the decisionâ but it was already going to happen. It my assumptions are correct, We could restart the universe the same way an infinite number of times and it would all happen the same way
Is your arguement that consciousness works outside of basic chemical reactions? Or do you dispute one of my assumptions?
described perfectly by maths and nothing is random
Quantum physics is based on the fact that it's random though.
Yeah this is an argument I get against it a lot. I think we are at a very early stage of understanding quantum physics and weâve decided that since we canât produce an equation for the placement of electrons, it must be random. I believe the equation exists but we havenât found it yet and itâs not actually random. That is a good argument and you may be correct though
I feel that we havenât found anything random in the universe until quantum physics and before we got to quantum physics, we thought many things were random that we now know arenât. In my opinion, beliefs that anything is random is a âgod of the gapsâ argument
But this is just my intuition about the universe, quantum physics may actually be random
Or conscious experience may exist outside of purely chemical reactions. Thereâs holes in my idea for sure but it is possible
That's what thinking is though. You would always make the same decision in the identical circumstances with free will or without. There is no clear definition of free will so it cannot be disproven or proven so this argument is absolutely pointless.
Eh I donât agree with that. People believe that they are actually making decisions with the ability to take the other one and that the universe is not pre-determined. We can remove the words âfree willâ if you find that itâs too vague and can settle on something more like âpre-determinedâ but I donât think that discredits what I am trying to say
In a non-deterministic universe you literally could make either decision, that something outside of maths and physics happened inside of your head
Im disputing that
That's just depends on how you define "making decisions." I think free will is fully compatible with the universe being pre-determined.
How are defining free will? That seem antithetical to me
Too arbitrary concept to be realistically defined imo
I'd split it into free will in a deterministic universe and a free will in a non-deterministic universe.
i agree 100%
i think artificial intelligence is an indication that we are capable of "free will" even if every decision we make is a result of some mathematic and chemical equation with our atoms. ai functions off of programming and mathematics as well, but it is lacking sentience. our atoms are just put together in a way that allows us to make decisions, whatever that means. this convo also brings in the idea of infinite alternate universes where we chose the "other option"
umm i feel the major floor in my argument is that we don't understand the nature of quantum mechanics, the many worlds interpretation + consciousness being immaterial would destroy my argument
it comes from a series of assumptions that I believe in but cannot prove, they also currently cant be disproven which makes me 100% correct /s
check back in 4-6 years when ai holds 1/3 of job market and silicone valley elite tech bros become gazillionaires
then in like another 10 when ai takes over and kills human race
I wont be taken out by a clanker tho
people need to make money to give it to tech bros
their imaginary money juggling can only go so far
true
i always say thank you to chatgpt
Roko's basilisk taught me that early on
Hot take: a sufficiently advanced ai is the only way to make communism somewhat viable by having the processing to centrally plan an economy aka SPACE COMMUNISM
đ
Or instead
You make super advanced weapons
And suppress everyone into oblivion to enforce your ideology
Not sure of your age but I wonder if this is a generation thing. Iâm 23 so I feel like using social media has damaged my brain in a way that cannot easily be undone and I want to do whatever I can for future generations to grow up more naturally
Yeah this stuff is scary
Am 2007, don't like it because I felt very limited to do anything when I was a minor for an arbitrary number
what do you mean by do anything? Except for a few countries, you likely had unrestricted access to infinite social media and pornography right
Can't buy a sim, can't post a video, can't go to school alone, can't own a phone, can't buy anything myself
I guess that was a my country thing
But it felt very stupid in Italy at least
My parents told me you see someone naked you ignore and block
That's what I did
And went on with my life
ahh fair enough
They made a chatting ban on Roblox
And all I see now is lil kids who verified with their parents' documents anyway
I wasn't going to join this conversation because I think it's dumb but I'm 27 and completely blocking off social media to minors is not the solution. They will find ways around it. Adults will get impacted as well because there's no way to prove age without an invasion of privacy. And if a kid grows up knowing nothing of social media and then just get handed free access with no restrictions the second they turn 18, it's going to seriously mess with their brain because they're so unprepared. I also saw stuff on the internet I shouldn't have seen as a kid. But my mom was always very good at talking about uncomfortable topics (sex, p0rn, bigotry) with me in age appropriate language. I don't know if you assume people who disagree with you must be very young or a lot older than you, but either of them assumes that your opinion must be the correct one without being open to other people's perspectives
Social media came at those ages for other people who are older
But that doesn't change the fact that it is impractical to implement without a severe drawback
Also, some parents fucking suck and if a child isn't allowed on the internet, that can completely isolate them from the outside world.
My parents were bad at talking about it tbh
I kinda just figured if this is something I am most likely not supposed to watch then I probably shouldn't
It can still be a generational thing though
Different generations have a varying impact from social media and usually the less it affects you the less you care
The same way nobody cares about fixing school after graduating
eh im quite extreme with this. I wouldn't mind if the majority of social media is banned or very heavily regulated. IMO its destroying mental health and democracy.
nah I agree there are issues with it and I dont like the loss of privacy aspects. Maybe I did phrase it in a way that makes it sound like a default. Within the people I know, it is a default. I'm really hoping we get a hard reversal in this culture of using social media as a way to interact with your friends and the world. I just wanna go back to a simpler time đ
yeah i never said there werent downsides but this is how the world was for 30000 years before mark zuckerburg came along
I don't know anyone whos having kids who is giving their kid unrestricted access to social media and stuff
but also most parents fucking suck. I genuinely believe that >50% of kids will develop the symptoms of adhd from being raised by cocomelon and an ipad. Evolution cannot keep pace with technology and we are going to ruin the brains of children until we stop this
but I probably have the most extreme opinions on this that one can hold, moreso then my peers, and there are some positives from social media
I know plenty
*my age... the millenials don't seem to have realised theres any issue
but yeah, im sure theres many out there
My parents already do that with my sibling a decade younger (and me to an extent), neither are millenial
Yeah that doesn't surprise me, Im making the point that older generations of course are not aware of the issue but even many millenials are not aware of it
Such is the reality though imo
Many people don't do highly academical jobs and if they don't do something they don't like then cost of living will get them
It's ipad today
It was alcohol yesterday
We will find a way to replace such entertainment
Vaping, smoking
I feel that giving any child with less then good parenting strong adhd symptoms is terrible, far more then alcohol or cigerettes
The fact we can focus on something like adhd and not lung cancer is a positive direction imo
yeah maybe
Idk im quite spiteful of what an unnatural childhood of exteme dopamine from technology has done to my brain
and the level of effort it is taking to reverse some of the affects
but i guess if i did grow up in the 80's and started smoking at 13 and got lung cancer, that would be a worse outocme
We don't need to buy anti teenager whistles anymore
I mean this with all the kindness in my heart. But it sounds like you're speaking from a place of personal trauma and this is more of a conversation to be had with a mental health professional rather than a casual online discussion...
nah i think my experience is pretty universal and there should be postive changes and a cultural shift made to prevent it in the future
His experience is widespread imo yea
Widespread. But not universal
Professional too expensive
so far i've deleted all social media (except discord of course lol), every fun app off my phone, got myself into team sports
but theres a long way to go
Terrible graph.
First thing I could find
Images load at a pace of 0.5hz in Russia with a vpn
Haha fair enough.
Hot take: Indian food is the best food in the world
Non-hot take: Taste in food is subjective so there is no best
Nah i feel most hot takes cant be proven though right
but its usually a less commonly agreed upon subjective opinion
Hot take: there is no such thing as "the best food"
Oh wait
Hot take: food 'hot takes' are never hot takes because food opinions are so subjective and there'll always be people in agreement
There are generally agreed to be worse and better
I've read it too late đ
The more north you go
I wouldnt say its disgusting but it cant compete with the most popular ones
The less your cuisine had opportunity to evolve
The good weather countries are generally agreed to have the best tasting food
If you want a true food hot take: the pinapple on pizza debate focuses on the wrong thing. The only things that truly belong on pizza are tomato sauce and cheese, aka the things that make a pizza. The other toppings are just based on preference and none of them belong on there any less or more than other toppings. Saying something belongs on pizza implies that it should always be there which is just a dumb take
This is a hot take as an Italian
I think the pineapple on pizza debate boils down to if the Italians truely own the Pizza and can dictate topping norms
Italians can't even fucking claim tomato because that shit's native to the Americas if you want to get super pedantic about it
as a half italian, pineapple and pizza shouldn't really go together but ppl can do wahtever they want
Nobody owns a food but that doesn't mean that you can't make something that tastes mid
Pineapple pizza tastes mid
None of us can agree on who owns any food between the regions
North has own pizza
whatever americans made and called pizza is so far from pizza to me that they can do whatever they want to it
I think the pineapple is sometimes nice but the chunks they use are too big so you either have a bite with no pineapple or a bite where you only taste pineapple
đ
Our region made tiramisu, nobody says you can't put a sausage into tiramisu but it is considered bad taste cus well it tastes bad
i dont even know what puglia invented
And for the people who would say it tastes fine then they would probably say a roasted rat also tastes fine
Panzerotte?
Hence why it is considered barbarism
Anyway my original hot take was literally about semantics and not taste and now we're once again having the stupid pizza debate
But there is a pickle tiramisu...
Don't know never heard and I probably wouldn't wanna
this is a discord chat, not a thesis. Its more fun to jokingly debate about pizza toppings
Looks tasty đđđ (/s)
Aight am bombing the rail connections
Hot take: UK flag is the best flag in the world. Only flags that even come close are krgyzstan, seychelles and a few others
To where exactly?
Did y'all see the tiramisu they served in the Olympic village?
Northern rail shall stay isolated from such barbarism
I feel like I missed out and I need to have a stern talk with my mom about allowing me to drop out from swimming when I was 12
Swimming isn't even an Olympic winter sport but I'd have made it work
Looks like an American thing to me so you're already disconnected from their rail
Or I'll blame her for not allowing me to figure skate idk
Well cus it's not built
Not bc it has some block
So you can't bomb it
Or you just want to bomb rail to get the picklemisu out of you?
shiny pokemon
I have more but I feel like
It would be along the level of
American people claiming ancestry of their great grandma visiting a country
I would say Russian Empire - Austrian Empire
My mum speaks Ukrainian somewhat
My grandma is 100% Ukrainian
But I say I am 0% Ukrainian
Actually unless someone cares I usually just say am Russian
Would make you 25% Ukranian tho... Like your parent is 50% which makes you 25% and I think that's significant enough
I don't speak it and only borrowed some dialectisms and pronounciations
And I was like 7 when Ukraine had a conflict
So I never went there
yeah i feel theres blood and theres culture
A girl I no longer speak to is 25% Indonesian and to her that's important enough to be mentionable and I'd agree with her
I have blood but not so much culture of italy
Well yes but I feel like mentioning more than 1 or 2 countries is overboard
Yeah that's fair
My great grandparents spoke Polish I think
And the parent I am from in Italy belonged to Austria when we moved there
But like if people ask, I think it's enough to mention it along with the other countries yknow
I am like 100% Czech as far back as census records in Austria-Hungary became a thing
I would have to say Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, Italian, Austrian and maybe even Spanish
I base my 100% Dutchness on my grandparents only having Dutch parents/grandparents but I have never actually looked anything up
idk i never wanna do the cringe american thing of claiming tangentially i am from countries i have no claim to
If I feel like I don't belong there I don't talk ab it
Damn your ancestors moved around a lot
Italy is a 25% to me
Ussr ppls are always mixed bc well it was 1 country
Austrian Empire too
