If this isn't an existing plugin, maybe Myth could create it using invisible item frames that spawn on the surface you're looking at the same way the new leashes spawn on the fence you're looking at.

idk bout this suggestion cause a bunch of item frames will prob cause lag and the item frame can only rlly be on the top
if the item frame was on the sides then the skulkers cant be placed together
if a skulker has multiple items then it’ll get laggy if each item frame held a different item so it can only rlly show one block but at that point if you have bulk items in shulkers then color code is easier or chests with item frames
if there isnt enough colors im guessing adding a few more colors would be easier than items being shown on the box
it (maybe) could be done similar to how leather is dyed in bedrock
or you can name tag boxes and when you hover over them the name is shown
