Why? First off, and most usefully and majorly, it allows people to create unique items, so we can trade stuff that’s signed, and add lore to items. You can record events/history with it, which is cool. Additionally the itemname section gives us more freedom to customize our stuff, which is totally epic!
Secondly, for redstone it’s very useful (especially the type I’m working on with the casino), as you can make unique items that other players cannot replicate. This’d make it possible to make more complex games, for example lotteries, custom payouts (beyond the x100 or x900 based on diamonds), and create keypasses, to name some possibilities!
