The first tip I'd give is to get a good champ in every region so you can complete regional requirements for adventures, and just getting those champs to 2 or 3 star, you won't need the 4 star and beyond til later.
To some degree, the champs you will probably end up relying on are the ones you get fragments for and that's okay, all champs at 3 star can beat adventures up to their own star level

It's a later thing, most adventures you have right now just give you rewards for using any champ and beating them, later on adventures ask you for specific region wins

That's going to be the best way for you to net rewards. I'm assuming you probably don't have the champs to have a second champ behind jinx to clear everything

i do think that a list of "good" champs per region doesn't matter as much as a "which champs to AVOID because they may not be good enough to handle everything your throw at them"

but if you want a list of champions you should avoid because they're not entirely coherent i can give that.
generally the list of champs that you need that are like "really good" ends up mattering more when you start getting to the point where you can fight 5 star adventures

if you get him to 2 star, and complete his story adventure, you get a relic that is jinx's favorite

no it's not in the upper right, some champions have special exclusive adventures only they can do
you upgrade a relic slot by equipping a spirit forge in it, then beating a 3 star + difficulty adventure
all upgrading a rare slot to epic does is let you slot epic relics in that slot, not an urgency at all

Cav misunderstood you, the upgrade from a common to a rare relic slot happens through level up, I think at level 8 ur allowed to equip rare relics in your first slot, that's what loose cannons payload (the jinx relic u get from garen campaign) is and with it jinx should be able to carry you through any troubles you have
Other than that ur priority is getting a good 2* champ for each region, in #poc-questions there's a guide that gives you a few pointers for good choices, just wasn't updated for the last 2 patches or so, so for noxus ambessa is a fine choice and you also get a lot of free fragments for her
There's also a lot of adventures giving you free silver, gold and plat vaults for champion fragments, so feel free to do those first and then check which champs are easy to upgrade to 2*+ for you, there's only a few Champs that aren't good rn so most of them should serve you more than fine for the early adventures

Garen is just fine for all non nightmare content, so he's a fine 2* to have sitting around and use when you need a demacia clear

Bilge: MF at high stars > Nami > Pyke/tahm (tahm is better earlier and a great coutner for monthlies, pyke is just generic ok champ and one of only 2 with cons in bw)
Demacia: Morgana > 2ux > Vayne(at 6)/1ux (at 3)
Freljord: Ashe > Voli, just dont look at the other 2
Ionia: Ahri > Yas > Lillia/Yi
Noxus: Swain >>> Leblanc/Ambessa
PnZ: Jinx, Viktor > Jayce/Ekko
SI: gwen, viego > (Vex/) Elise
Shurima: Nidalee for early and non cons, Kaisa at 5*+
Targon: Asol, Diana for 3, morg and yuumi are here again
Runeterra: Honestly, almost all viable, p2w high cons fiddle is the best, elsewise at 3, fiddle, jhin, eve, bard, neeko, jax all work somewhat similarly well

but i'll dispute 2 lines, which are the last two. I think leona is totally viable contender with diana as second best targon if we excluse morgana because we want her for demacia
of all those though, yuumi is the only one who can start with 3 starting mana so she can't be discounted unfortunately
and then runeterra, the first i'd recommend before anything else is just eve with tempest blade + crownguard, always gets the furthest with the lowest possible commitment. just steamrolling most fights at 3 star. bard i'd avoid, he's clumsy at his best. jhin, fiddle, varus, need relics to thrive.
after recommending eve though, it gets murky. you start running into a lot of champs in runeterra imo that don't just mvp their way to dubs unless you want to sling 20$ to get fiddle's optimal build
frankly, i think the best 2 runeterra champs are just eve with the relics as i said, and then neeko with oath of the guardians. they're going to get the most consistent mileage vs the highest amount of fights. everyone else on the list needs relic paths to really thrive, except jax but he gets outgrown by most enemies.
everything else region wise up there, i'd concur with jager with very minor disputes but he's on the right idea
