#World of Tanks Modern Armour: New Year, New Game

Hey everyone, I've been playing WoT Console for nearly 12 years now, and sadly, I'm logging in less and less. It's not because I'm "touching grass"—it's because the game feels like a chore. Grinding to maintain win rates, scraping together silver, completing friend contracts, chasing Regi Coins, tackling inconsistent daily challenges, and dealing with ever-changing chest requirements (multiplayer-only one week, co-op the next, event modes after that)... it's exhausting.
The event board is overly complicated and poorly worded. Sometimes you accidentally complete a challenge without realizing, other times you grind exactly what's asked, and it doesn't register, forcing you to skip it. Sure, event modes can be fun, camos look cool, and garage gear adds flair (even if it's mostly cosmetic). But has the base game truly improved in 12 years? Or has it gotten worse? Do you log in for fun, or just to knock out dailies and snag exclusive regi tanks?
We finally see a dream tank on sale... but it's bundled, locked behind chests, gambling, or some event. This is the arcade tank game we love IE goofy shots from invisible barns for 1k damage, not sim style realism like [other lightning related tank game]. That's our charm! So why turn it into a chore for loyal vets?
Matchmaking now punishes WW2 (where prammo Is almost essential) players, forcing Cold War games to earn silver .
"Play a few Cold War matches to fund WW2"? NahI downloaded World of Tanks, World of Tanks Mercenaries, not Modern Armour. Don't force unwanted modes just to enjoy what we used to love....
Realistic Suggestions for 2026
It's fixable.

  1. Scheduled Server Shutdown: 1-3 Weeks of Deep Testing
Devs have admitted new content often performs differently in live servers vs. tests. Super testers provide limited data.
Shut down for 1-3 weeks annually. Use it to:

Rework mechanics, fix glitches (past and present).
Test tanks, guns, UI, maps, and upcoming features properly without test server limits.
Deliver real improvements, not rushed Tuesday patches.
It sounds drastic, but players want quality over constant cosmetics.
2. Pause Cosmetics Prioritize Core Gameplay
Take a break from camos, inscriptions, flags, skins, garage effects, UI tweaks, map variants, new maps, and tanks.
Rehash 2025 events/camps if needed, but redirect staff to base game fixes:
Matchmaking, Address player complaintsit's "working as intended"? Not with backlash like this.
Seige mode complaints
Bot improvements- Smarter bots = higher XP/silver bonuses without farming complaints. No more time on "nutty" bot names/skins only 3 people use seasonally. Performance and bloat reduction, speaks for its self really.
