So just going to put this out here as it just keeps happening.

This time there is the T249 and M47 skin locked behind lootboxes which is already frustrating on its own. However, its made even more annoying because the loot table is so heavily skewed towards "Epic" drops. Despite being the higher tier drop, somehow there is double the amount of them compared to the lesser "Rare" drops. Of these "Epic" drops 2 are available for direct purchase at 30-40% off. 6 others are avilable in 2 tank bundles with another of the "Epic" rewards. All in all this makes it a very frustrating experience to target the exclusive items without owning the entire loot pool which adds an additional $50 or more to your purchase. It is nowhere near as bad as the Mystic chests were but still entirely discouraging from the perspective of someone who can't see getting the item they want without spending hundreds of dollars.

Personally I am entirely against locking items behind a lootbox but if this practice must continue then it should be handled as such:

Make the exclusive items the only "Epic" rarity drops so that they are guaranteed when the pity system hits. By the time someone hits that counter they have already spent 25,000 gold (far beyond the previous t249 sale price and current M47 price) so they should at least get an exclusive. Anyobody going for the other epic drops would be better off buying a 2 tank bundle for <15k gold. The other vehicles should remain in the chest but as "Rare" drops instead. This way it still allows for chests to be used for all tank goals but allows the pity system to work at a more reasonable value for players who don't own everything.

However, the best way to handle this would just be to allow the direct purchase of everything in the chests. This way everyone gets what they actually want instead of wasting time and money spamming chests.

Now onto the issue of skins in the chest:

If you buy the M47 in the store for 12,500 gold then you can no longer get it as your guaranteed "Epic" drop. You then have to contend with a 1 in 15 chance on an 8.2% drop and a 1 in 15 chance on a 7.23% drop with neither of them giving you and duplicate protection. What this has essentially done is punish any player who wants the tank and skin but chose to purchase the tank.

I understand there is no way to currently provide duplicate protection or pity drops for multiple categories in the war chests. This really should have been taken into account when locking 2 different categories of drop (a vehicle and a skin) behind these lootboxes, because as mentioned above it makes it a very frustrating experience to target the skin specifically.

What should have been done is the items should have separate methods of obtaining them. Pooling the M47 with its skin in the "Epic" vehicle table would be fine if it followed the logic of the first post but there needs to be a better option for people who bought the vehicle directly.

Or again if we absolutely can not stop locking stuff in lootboxes, then there should have been a separate box. There could have been a chest focused on vehicle skins that allow those to be tracked for the pity mechanic

Im sorry @carmine olive it seems WG is determined to continue the practice of gambling which is just unfortunate. Better than last Christmas but thats such a hollow claim

Plus not to mention the fact you can get skins for tanks you dont own and are locked behind another paywall

You use 500gold on a BF chest and get 25 4x crew boosters 🥳, something you get along the way as yo play seasons and challenges. Just a fraud nothing else. No more spending on those.

Atleast the should contain objects you cant buy in store. Booster are a thing l never buy and surtently never would use 500 gold on. Put on a booster and 90% of your games are doomed to go bad until booster pack are gone.

I got like 2000 commander booster...500 of each white consumable,almost 1000 extinguisher, 13 Werewolf garage gear,8 Santa sleigh and i pass....at this point they just should make the dumpster chest with fly Flying around with a Rusty door sound and a homeless Guy in it giving you those trash 🤣

1250 gold each Werewolf...would be nice to get the gold instead of that, can't even put Them all due to limit point in garage 🤷

Adding earn bonus to vehicle skins not a bad idea. But please what is the reasoning behind a 60% vehicle xp buff for the 2021 Black Friday skins? Commander, Free or silver bonus I can understand. Bonus vehicle xp is meaningless for a premium tank.
