For a while now, the stock grind has been needlessly obsurd. For instance the tier 8 vk 45 02a's stock gun is the SAME stock gun its tier 9 upgrade gets? Why should i even progress if im going back a full tiers worth of MY time grinding with the exact same awful stock gun...why shouldnt the t9 get the fully upgraded gun from the t8 as its stock gun? Why would you make the stock grind awful if your trying to draw more players in? Simply make the stock gun on the next tank the fully upgraded gun from the previous one.

well at least in the 45B's case there is argument that one would want to use the 8.8 over the 10.5cm L52.
But your argument is valid for a good amount of tanks. The T9 Italian TD comes to mind quickly
I haven’t pursued a stock grind for over 3 years. WG rarely keeps these tanks equal to those being introduced. I have over 200 tanks and really don’t need to grind, then spend silver and XP to equip them. It’s a circle that never ends, unless you choose to do so.
I tend to just grind through it but I have some friends that play in coop til they get the tank upgraded til it's playable. I've only got one tier X left to get and I might try coop for that.
How do they find that? Ive been thinking about doing that since stock grinds are utterly painful
It was a common recommendation a while back, so it must work.
It will absolutely take you longer than performing well in MP, but certainly less stressful
I think as long as you're prepared to use a few xp boosters it should be too bad. It'll be a bit slower but like Joco said, you're playing against bots rather than players so it'll be much less stressful.
Ill give it a try, dunno why wg doesnt make wotma basically 1:1 for console / pc
