The Chieftain Mk. 5 has always been consider bad. Yet the Chieftain Hybrid 120 is good. Why? Mobility and DPM. The premium version has better of both. The premium has some worse accuracy, but nothing significant.

The tech tree Chieftain Mk. 5 has one of the worst win rates in CW. Some of that is due to players having to play and upgrade an even worse stock version. Being top tier, it also takes longer to upgrade. But fully upgraded it still is not good. So players simply move on to the next tank rather than playing any significant number of matches with it fully upgraded. This results in the bulk of the matches played in the Mk. 5 being not fully upgraded, which makes its win rate even poorer than it could be if people played it mostly elite.

While I don't think the tech tree should be buffed to the [imaginary] top speed levels of the premium Chieftain. The Tech tree could still get some improvements.

-Improve the terrain resistances to that of the premium.
1/1.1/1.6 --> 0.7/0.8/1.6

-Improve the [hidden] engine power factor ?-->?+

These two could help the Mk. 5 reach its 51.5 top speed quicker and more easily. Still not premium Chieftain mobility but better at least.

-Improve the DPM to match that of the premium

Would these changes make the Chieftain Mk. 5 a Banger that everyone wants to play? Not likely, but it would be better at least.

I would like to see the Super Conq be brought into cw as well. Even if it's just a premium tank. You probably could work it somewhere in the line if you wanted a tt.

Not a fan of the conq in the tt line but super conq looks better wit the armor.

They need to put the Conqueror in ERA 1, Super Conq as ERA 2 and Retouch the line.

I don't think the Chieftain Mk 5 is a bad tank, you just have to know how to play it.
I think a lot of people just think it's a heavy tank like in WW2 and can take a lot of damage, but that's not the case at all.
But compared to the Chieftain Hybrid 120, it's at a significant disadvantage as a tech tree tank, and that's very cheeky.
If at least some shots could bounce off the Chieftain Mk 5's hull and its mobility was worse than the 120's, I would consider it reasonably balanced, but the hull is far too weak for Era 2.
