I support this 100%.
yeah this one is probably one of my best now
I moved the Char 40T to be a part of the AMX 50 line because the Char 40T was made in development alongside the TOA100 and had nothing to do with the development of the AMX-30
not only that but it came out before the Char 25T chronologically year wise, so it makes even less sense for it to be in the AMX-30s
EBCL-2?
patent for a super-heavy tank
Any pictures available?
later
oh yes and of course
proposed for cap year to be raised to 2005
AMX-50 TO90
also known as the AMX M4 '49 with oscillating turret, the project would be renamed to "AMX-50" after the installment of the oscilating turret
AMX-50 TOA100
warthunder model
this is a step up from the previous AMX-50 in that the external and internal systems were further iterated on
I beleive it also uses the same turret as the lorraine 40T
AMX-50 TOA120
the proper AMX-50 120
manufactured in 1953, this tank would lay the groundwork for the last two AMX-50 variants with those being the Surblinde and the Surbaisse
Char 40T is moved to be a part of the AMX-50 line because it is a project variant made alongside the development of the AMX-50 TOA100
AMX-50B
the last AMX-50 tank variant made, this is the bottom era 2 heavy tank parralel to M103 and T-10B
however, this tank does have a coaxial 20mm gun and fires regular AP rounds, so it is an alternative to the AMX-30B that leads to the same AMX-30B2

AMX-30 Europanzer A and AMX-30A
image here despicts the AMX-30 prior to the finalized prototype of the AMX-30A
original design of the tank when it was first designated as Char 30 AP
interesting thing to note is that the current AMX-30A and WW2 1er prototype currently use the Europanzer Type A hull - this being an incorrect and non-historical configuration
the Europanzer Type A when it was fully built had 4 return rollers and box shaped exhausts at the rear of the tank, whereas the AMX-30A has 5 return rollers and the final designed exhaust ports
AMX-30A
better view of the AMX-30 Europanzer Type A (or AMX-30 Prototype for short)
compared to the AMX-30A rear and front
Projet 1
one of the many tanks designed by the French in order to replace the AMX-30s was the Projet 1
Projet 1 was the more conventional design with a center mounted turret instead of crewless turret/oscillating design
Projet 1 itself wouldn't be built, but the design characteristics of it would lead to the development of the TC series of tank
TC2
this rendition of the TC2 was made by an artist named Dan Saranga
the TC2 was made with the idea of a 3 man crew which woul ldater becomes a standard requirement for all TC and even AS series of tanks leading up to the development of the Leclerc
all of the Projet and AS series of tanks are over 50 tons in weight so they would all be heavies except for a few oddity projects that never made it past the drawing stage
TC2 would be made in a small-scale model alongside the TC3 and the AS series of tanks
Leclerc Preseries (MSC)
this version of the Leclerc prototypes would lead to the designated "Ares" variant which later influenced much of the final design choices for the Leclerc S1
the MSC is essentially the Leclerc fully functioning prototype, whereas the other ones prior to it and even after in some cases were not fully equipped with all the systems tested and wanted for the Leclerc S1
I downtiered the Leclerc S1 to be a mid tier to allow the Leclerc S2 to be the top tier of the line
Leclerc S2
Warthunder model
made in the mid 90s and replacing the S1 in 1997
the Leclerc S2 implemented improved electrical systems, more frontal turret armor, hybrid air conditioner system, and ability to add on extra applique armor for the lower glacis of the hull
AMX-40 AVS2
replacing the Leclerc as the top tier tank of the AMX line we have the second pre-production prototype of the AMX-40
https://forum.warthunder.com/t/amx-40-avant-serie-avs-first-attempt-with-automatic-loading-on-amx-40-pre-production/187364 here is the whole warthunder forum that goes over all the history of the variant and others with their specs and differences
poll poll poll AMX-40 Avant-Série (AVS) - First attempt with automatic loading on AMX-40 pre-production Hello everyone, in this suggestion, I will introduce the AMX-40 Avant-Série (AVS) tank in detail. This is actually the final evolution of the AMX-40 with many significant upgrades. I have collected a lot of reference materials and will...
essentially, it is a slighly beefed up AMX-40 with better accuracy and some more frontal armor at the cost of some mobility
essentially a supped up AMX-32 in the body of an AMX-40
Projet 2
just like the Projet 1, this tank uses a conventional layout hull/turret placement but with the noticeable change of design with the turret being manless and oscillating
this tank would directly lead to some of the AS series of tanks
AS12, AS21, AS31, AS40
models of the AS series of tanks were build to test out some systems of externally and or internally loading the gun via external or internal breaches carrying ammo
this was one of the porposed areas of the new French tank project to replace the AMX-30s, but ultimately the standard style of tanks (TC series and futher developments) were chosen in stead of the AS series
oh yeah, and the first tank of the second image of the AS tanks is unknown with regards to the name
EBC and L series

all info of them can be found in the article
essentially, French super-heavy patent tanks
AMX M4 '46, '48, and Foch 50 are already in WW2 and just need to be ported over
AMX-10M
this funky little thing is the AMX-10M with the ACRA gun launcher and a 20mm auto cannon
this is a bottom era 2 alternative tank that leads to the VP90M
The ACRA ATGMs is essentially an earlier ADATS missle with slower velocity, damage, and pen
aside from the ATGMs, the 10M can also fire HE rounds
AMX TC 901
this is the earliest version of the ELC project and the most barebones of the 900 series that would lead to the bis
AMX TC 904
more mature version of the 901 version that leans more into the finalised design of the bis version
ELC AMX bis
final version that is currently in WW2 and just needs to be ported over
these three tanks make up the era 1 bracket of the ELC/Lohr line
ELC even 90
this is also in WW2 and just needs to be ported over
this is a competitor in the ELC project that went further on and would have a variety of different gun caliber options, gun counts, and of course the tests of ATGMs with the SS.11 and SS.12
this begins Era 2 of the line and marks the transitioning point between HEAT slingers to ATGMS
VP90M
look at this cutie
armed with a Milan launcher, this tank had an estimated 41 horsepower per ton due to the extremely lighweight design coupled with engine
extremely good forward movement speed, bad reverse speed and slower hull traverse speed
also, the Lohr tanks are unique in that they do have hydropneumatic suspensions like the japanese tanks
Lohr VPX110
essentially an upgraded version of the earlier VP90M
lower horsepower per ton of 34 compared to 41 of the 90M, but still plenty good coupled with its projected top speed of around 90kmh
same general concept of the 90M but generally better in some ways but with some small tradeoffs in some areas
VPX-110M (MCT)
this specifica version of the 110M is the MCT version, which houses 2 Milan launchers indtead of one
specs of the MCT system
VPX 5000 Milan (MCT)
going off the MCT system, Lohr made the final rendition of their VPX project with the 5000 series
multiple weapon systems and configuratiosn were tested with the 5000 series
and finally, the one
VPX 5000 HOT (HCT)
with the HCT system mounting 4 launchers of the HOT variant on the VPX 5000 chassis
this is essentially the most powerful and mature version of the 5000 made
4 HOT launchers on a speedy, small, and flexible chassis
pinnacle of ATGM slinging TD action in cold war
