Hello, this is not a bug. This is working correctly based on how the camera adjust to point at what you are aiming at.
So when I look at a player standing in front of me and switch to sniper scope...am I supposed to shoot at the sky? Did I understand you correctly?
It will depend where you have your camera pointed at. If you are focused at a point in the sky, then yes. If you are focused on the top of the tank, then when you switch to sniper, your barrel has to point up to be focus at the top of the tank.
Its just trying to look at what you've told it to look at.
I can confirm this issue (not sure if it’s a bug or intended). When you’re in third-person view and near cover, looking at a tank, and then move forward in a way that, in first-person view, you would be looking directly into the object providing cover, switching to first-person view causes the camera to jump to a different angle, so you’re no longer looking into the object. Often, the camera jumps upwards, as described earlier. This happens to me quite frequently when I’m approaching an enemy from cover and switch to first-person view too late.
It's not normal.
It's normal)?
Yes, this is normal
Your perspective is changing from first person to 3rd person.
sounds plausible and very logical, thanks for the answer. like a pitchfork in the water)
You see in the clips that the focus point clearly rises from switching from 3rd to 1st person view. The is in fast combat situation a real issue as you often try to pre target the enemy tank in 3rd person and then want to only quick readjust the target point in 1st person. If your focus points now jumps in the air by switching the perspective you will loose time and often miss the shots.
I thought I was the only one which is annoyed by this. I really hate when this happens
You don't understand, this is normal.
Correct, this is how it works due to the change of perspectives, it changes your aim point.
What you see from one height is a different from 3rd person view where your camera is above the tank. The change in heights changes your perpective. This is normal.
You're kidding right now? Are we being filmed by a hidden camera?
I'm not sure how else I can explain it, other than to draw a diagram. But no, I'm not kidding. This is how perspective changes work.
This is not a bug and is working correctly.
name at least one game where such (correct) mechanics are implemented? not a single wg tank project has this except here)))))
I agree that on all games I know the focus points stays the same when you zoom in / zoom out or change perspective. It is very confusing if you need to target in both perspectives separately. Especially because you need to change between both perspectives very often in battles
If it is not a bug. Maybe you can add this to the improvement list…
thank you that the problem is still in the game!)
I was writing about how the reticle shifts while aiming, making it practically impossible to shoot accurately immediately after aiming. I received a response saying, 'That's how it's supposed to work; it's a feature,' but this is not a feature—it's a bug.
Let me explain: if this were truly a 'feature,' the sniper scope would shift slightly every single time a player uses it. But that's not the case. Anyone can confirm this themselves: immediately after loading into a match, just use the scope, and (most likely, it won't shift). However, after some time, it starts jumping... Yes, exactly! In some cases, it shifts only slightly, but in others, it can drop by half the screen!
Yet this is supposed to be a 'feature,' according to one of the moderators.
I understand that wot uses the (F* You Game Design) concept but this is too much... deliberately not fixing the problematic aspects of the game so that the player... stops playing or burns out as quickly as possible and leaves the project?
Are you playing with Free Sniper Mode on or off?
