I was playing a match earlier and faced a T58 Heavy, my teammate in the FV4005 went up to shoot it, and somehow bounced a shell from the T58 in his turret. This should be impossible since the whole turret on FV4005 is 14mm thick and the T58 has a 155mm gun and should therefor overmatch the 14mm plating.

T58 was using HEAT, and as far as I know: no matter how overmatched the target armor is, if a HEAT shell hits an "impossible angle" (>85⁰) it will auto-ricochet regardless of caliber/target armor.

It is not rng mate, the T58 should overmatch up to 51mm of armor
Was it heat? Heat doesn't overmatch and angle appears to be very shallow.

Allow me to explain, HEAT shells can ricochet in a plate thats 85 degrees angled or more, regardless of whatever the armor is, that scenario there was lucky

One of the UI sounds (I think its from missiles) is the same used from "being target for arty" sound, but they remixed it to sound like a new thing

I see, did some testing with a friend after i read this and i can confirm, however to hit the side of the turret at that small of an angle was damn near impossible with the T58, so that 4005 in the gameplay was extremely lucky!😂
