I finished 1st in a tier 8, did the most damage on my team 2586 dmg & get 474 Xp.
A tier 9 on the winning team did 307 dmg, finished dead last and gets 659 Xp! That’s just Wrong!

How about giving an XP bonus to the tanks that finish in top 3 on the Losing team? Or at least the top 2? I think a 125% bonus would be reasonable as winning is 150%. You did this for 1st place on match 7v7 Ranked Battles. This is really frustrating. I seem to always get these lousy teams. I do well but it doesn’t matter. I don’t think I’m alone here… Thanks 🙏🏼

Yeah, I don't understand WG logic re this issue /point/approach to 30 players in a game. We see and read multiple topics on the state of the game and how poor it is with a decline in player skills /abilities / game play. I understand that WG probably believe they can't influence these things. But WG can. If WG took action and rewarded player effort on a losing side overall game play and engagement would improve. In theory every outing any player has a 50/50 chance of being on a winning or losing team. Now this can be changed by a few factors (like platooning, time of day, experience, Bots etc.) Sooner or later, everyone will be on a losing team. In a lot of games, it's obvious what the outcome is probably going to be well before the 15 minutes is up. Now currently the main reasons Rewards wise for fighting to the end/doing your best etc. are Top 7 Long Haul finish and maintaining /improving MOE points. But what if players could (with absolutely minimal effort /resources required by WG) be rewarded with more XP for providing better effort on a losing side?

You do get rewarded if you get a battle hero medal. The feature you’re suggesting already exists, you just didn’t do enough to be considered worthy. If you really want more exp, win

They do. If you get a battle hero medal and lose the match, you don’t get penalized for the loss and get the same exp as if you were on the winning team

Battle Hero Awards currently only have 11 Medals which requires specific conditions to get one. Being 1st, top 3, 4, etc. doesn't mean you have met the specific criteria to get one. So whilst they are welcome, it doesn't address what the OP was suggesting. And no I do not consider BHA's as incentive to improve player engagement /effort/ incentive to do their best in a battle that is obviously going to be a loss.

Absolutely can confirm the battle hero mechanic is real.

Max explained it in the ask the team channel and I explained the mechanic in a video

its not that its not a thing so much, its what its affect is for day to day losing battle XP returns. I would say getting BHA's vs losing XP earnings, players constantly feel "ripped off" (as in the example in the OP) despite their efforts compared to others when you look at post battle stats. Going back to the Original Post BHA's aren't relevant.
