This tank is on the bottom of the list of performers. Can it get a buff?

I think it needs a penetration buff. 370/460/210MM is low. The Type 80 basically fulfills a similar role on the battlefield and has the same gun. The Type 80 gets 432/450/230MM. Buff the Type 63HG '90 to have the same pen makes sense.

The Type 80 has a bit lower DPM, but the Type 80 is also a lower tier tank.

In WW2 lights often have lower pen than their counterparts. But this is CW with True Vision. Lights can't be completely invisible.

I actually had to go to knowyourmeme to learn about the Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience.

Other CW Era 2 and Era 3 light tanks could also use a penetration buff. It seems like they were balanced using the WW2 guidelines of having light tanks get less pen than mediums. However, in Era 2 and 3 many light tanks fulfill a medium tank role.

Type 63HG: 370/460/210MM --> 432/450/230MM

Era 2 Stingray: 395/430/250MM --> 421/430/250MM (like M60's)

Era 3 Stingray 2: 448/518/270MM --> 538/583/270MM
(premium round from M8 AGS as standard then premium pen same as M60AX)

Era 3 M8 AGS: 468/538/270MM --> 538/583/270MM
(premium round as standard then premium pen same as M60AX)

Vickers/FCM VFM 5: 494/583/290MM --> 538/583/270MM
(premium round from M8 AGS as standard)

Does the front boat section/compartment have a hit box?

It appears to be the front of a boat (bow) attached to the hull of the tanks. The same with the rear of the tank. I have not had another person to test whether those two areas take health damage or not. There are scenarios where a round could pierce them and not even hit the main hull. Such as side shots. It might even offer some ramming protection.

Of course, I don't know if those compartments take damage already or not. But it seems like if an enemy tank looks at you wrong, the Type 63HG ('90) takes damage. But potentially removing the compartment hit box could be another much needed buff. Although this change would require more work than a simple stat change, it affects two tanks. One is a premium.
