The number 1 issue that gets brought up in the community is balancing. From a player perspective there are tanks that have been weak for far too long and been passed by in previous updates. It would be nice to know what tanks are candidates for buffs/nerfs, how the team plans to address them, and most importantly when they plan to release an update. More frequent balance updates and transparency on percieved issues would be greatly appreciated. Edit: A lack of an even loosely defined roadmap gives off a feeling of a lack of care and planning

Tanks aren't going to receive nerfs even though its what the game desperately needs
The point is that dedicating time and personnel to balancing the game involves a lot of work and little financial return in the short term. It is more convenient to launch a premium OP tank for gold every month where any veteran player or someone who has downloaded the game today is randomly thrown into the same match, spends money buying silver, gold and 3D commanders, returning a bigger, faster and more financial profit. easy. This is the reality, UNFORTUNATELY.
If you have specific tanks in mind, do feel free to make suggestions. We have made a lot of balance changes to underperforming tanks (458+) in the recent years witht he lastest balance pass in the previous season of 101 tanks. Its been something we have been addressing since mid-2021 and most items have been addressed now.
Tanks like the Taran, Grille, Pz7, 215B, AMX 30B, and Rinoceronte are tanks that immediately come to mind just in the tier 10 bracket.
Most of those had received changes in the various balance changes made.
WG has different opinions on balance and don't really seem interested in player input. Look at the Lowe for example, within a week or two of them saying the Lowe was fine and didn't need any buffs, despite it being brought up multiple times in their weekly Q&A on stream, they buffed the Tiger II which is already better than the Lowe in pretty much every way except for a tiny bit of pen and 2 degrees of gun depression.
The problem is the buffs they received where nothing buffs the 215b for example i believe you made it more accurate with a slightly better reload i could be wrong on that but either way it didn't need help in either of those areas what it needed was an armour buff so it can play the role its meant to play as a brawling heavy which is sidescraping the super conqueror has those exact same weakspots on it but there not weak on it its 304mm compared to the 215bs 101mm the turret armour could also do with being slightly thicker maybe 20mm extra on the mantlet pz7 also wants a armour buff aswell
I've asked before but got no answer so I'll ask again what did the changes actually accomplish on tanks like the grille and the 215b did it fix the underperformance? The grille only needed a camo buff anything else was unnecessary so why didn't it get one?
Yeah the PZ7 needs a nerf (best performing tank on that list by a decent margin)
@versed plover I’m not kidding. It has the best winrate on wotstars and nobody good ever plays it
😂
Love the pz7. Was my 2nd t10 back when I first started
It's the vk72 but the point is the same PZ7 isn't lacking
Here's the player distribution of Vk72(1) and pz7(2) bit have a similar playerbase way below average.
Vk72 is overperforming very similar on all levels.
Pz seems to be balanced for better players and over performaning vor weaker players.
Good players know where to pen it easily 😦
So why is it up there when in so easy to pen?
Maybe it has super good camo and mobility
Its armour is still fairly solid even if you aim for the weakspots a slight twitch and you bounce the shot its rather troll armoured that being said load gold and its armour doesn't hold up so well one of two things needs to happen the mantlet gets buffed so you actually have armour or the hull cheeks get buffed so it can sidescrape better 160mm is still good miles better than the 215bs 101mm but again its a weakspot on a sidescraping heavy that really shouldn't be
Tbf the weakspot with or without gold ammo are the same and most tanks have no issue penetrating them regardl9of the ammo
I've trolled so many shots off of that plate by turning the pz7s hull slightly when people are trying to shoot it / rocking back and fourth honestly its easier to pen the mantlet than there
Shoot the mantle, it’s like 200mm. Literally any tier 8 can pen it
I did just say that.
its 120mm compared to 160 and about the same angle you dont want to shoot down the gun
Whats most shocking on this list is that the WG braintrust will most likely buff the E4 before nerfing anything.
