#Should Fjords be a map above tier 8?

Fjords seems like a map that should not exist at tier 9 or 10. I don’t know if it’s the map layout, the size of the map, or just my own misplaying but fjords seems like a really bad map for tier 10.

I think it has a similar problem to sunset coast and raseiniai where there is too much foliage in some part of the map to ever actually clear to be able to move through it without losing hp.

Though the map is new it doesn’t seem to play well either. On encounter, the team that spawns north east is heavily inclined to stay 30 meters from their spawn.

Moving out of the south heavy lane if you spawn in the west is also made nearly impossible because of the peninsula in the south East giving direct, concealed, line of fire to the west team as they try to leave.

The north side hill can also now only shoot at tanks challenging the north side hill but leaving the north side hill is a nightmare due to the aforementioned over abundance of foliage.

The north middle area is also oddly flat and hilly at the same time. You aren’t really able to be behind cover unless you play off of the rocks in the center which puts you in a bad cross fire. These positions are playable in tanks that can side scrape but that’s not most tanks especially in the HE or 183mm ap hell we live in today.

Every game just feels like an awkward back and forth of both teams having tanks 1 by 1 be caught out of position because there wasn’t a good position for them to play from in the first place.

Please note these are my opinions and by no means hard held beliefs. I am want to hear opinions of everyone except arty/avre mains.

Play more to improving map awareness. Nothing wrong with high tiers

Probably not. It’s not a good map in general as its lanes are pretty exclusive. It tends to bunch people up which is good for arty in some sense but arty has a lot of terrain it has to move around so will tend to lock down a particular lane. If you pick the same lane as arty good luck there. It also has a terrible middle which if not supported by the other flanks becomes a death trap and well counting on your teammates to support is folly. So eventually everyone will remember again that East team heads north and West team heads south and it becomes one of those maps you will loathe when it comes up due to bringing out the campy/lemming worst of your teammates.

Now we complain about foliage.

Umm foliage was one of if not biggest complaints about Sunset Coast…

That and the reduced ability to control the south from the north.

(Airfield joke on players—they added rocks to reduce the ability to control the south from the north! But hey you got less foliage with Airfield return!)

Fjords lost a lot of the map's versatility with the redesign some of the old key locations are now inaccessible sight lines have changed don't get me wrong its still a good map but it used to be better add in that no one knows how to play the map anymore and it can be a challenge to play i say give it a few months for the maps meta to reestablish itself before judging it

You guys keep asking for maps, I tell you no, becareful what you wish for. The new WG keeps making them worse, Much worse, not better. You all keep asking for tank tiers/Eras that have no business seeing many of the maps. WG gives in to your complaining, the game gets worse, much worse. When will you people ever mature in this game and reasoning and realize that 10 GOOD maps, Trhump 50 bad ones anyday of the week !!!! You're victims of your own toxin, and you're determined to take the few good and bright people that are left, with you, into your own downward spiral.
