over half of the respondents are offering an opinion that isn't supported by ever having grinded out a 3-mark, much less a 4-mark

then they point to the results of the survey, and tell us "case closed, don't hold us liable for a change we implemented that wasn't needed or asked for."

As someone who marked tanks pre mark changes and post mark changes here are my 5 biggest issues with marks.

1. Multiple tanks having unreachable mark requirements for the 4th mark

2. Amount of games needed and progression of marks stalling/ dropping a lot because of having 1 or 2 bad games

3. Having to always play perfect in every game to break even in tanks and only going up .01-2% a game

4. Players being even more inclined to rig marks by cheating the system because it is frankly impossible for anyone to always play the game perfect to a tee

5. This is a niche one but rare tanks having marks so high, but the tank is incapable of producing such numbers even for the 3rd mark. Examples of these tanks include the T22 medium, Udes 15/16 and the Wz 132-1

For me at least, the reason I am invested in this thread, is I still don't understand the reasoning behind the change to begin with. Whatever he's stated about 6.0 changes doesn't fully make sense to me because everyone is going to be play in that same new environment with the new dynamics/mechanics.

It makes sense. Top player dpgs have gone way up since 6.0. More accuracy and more dpm increase potential and allow tanks to do better on bad maps

@dawn gull @spark sluice You do realise the "survey results" wasn't given/used by everyone and the majority of the playerbase dont care and weren't able to 3 mark a tank before and after the changes generally speaking. Only like top 10-5% of the player base are able to reliably grind 3 marks on most tanks, the other 90% won't notice a difference because they weren't even able to do it before or after the changes or simply dont care cause they are casual not competitive, so ofc the survey results seemed "fine". Now even the top 1% of the competitive players struggle or near impossible to 3 mark a tank. Maybe with the help of some platooning and a 3am bot lobbys might help, its still harder than before.

Do a survey where you only ask players with 3.5k wn8 or higher and you will see completely different results but you wont ofc.

Also incorrect according to the data shown in the stream. There were 11K total respondents. Of which 30% said they don’t know MOE. On which their survey ended, so they didn’t even get to the “Are MOE good or bad at this point”. So the percentage are correct but the actual number of respondents is lower.

Anyhow. I could do this all night, but I already do this stuff all day, so I won’t. Just annoying that WG sends out a badly set-up, badly worded survey through only one channel and act like they’re certified data scientists.

They clearly want the top players playing the game. (the whole point of gold marks ) so in time I have no doubt they will be forced to address this issue. It's just a shame they can't learn from past mistakes and address an issue earlier.

Lemme guess… it’s a discord with a lot of competitive people who 2-3-4 mark tanks as a large reason to why they play the game

If someone genuinely cared about marks then they would come into the discord and say what they think.

This happened with CW maps. More people than not wanted them removed from WW2… but there were some ppl who cared about keeping them in ww2 enough to come in here and suggest they stay in ww2/argue as to why they should stay.

This type of thing isn’t happening with marks at all…

What happened was ppl saw an email on their home screen and answered a few quick questions…

If someone ACTUALLY cared about marks they would go to App Store, download discord, and then click the link on the website… but oh wait that’s like 3 more steps then seeing an email on your home screen… they care so little about marks staying the way they are now that they aren’t even willing to take like 3 minutes (assuming they don’t have discord or a discord account) to say so

I’m willing to bet that There’s plenty of ppl with one mark or even two who don’t care about marking much and probably don’t even know what the change was lol

Especially after 6.0, for someone with some experience and a few brain cells even playing really casually you could 1-2 mark a tank.

I have my important use email on my WG account and know for a fact I looked through EVERY email.

I have a total of like 130 unopened emails on this email rn… I looked through literally everything and even after confirming my email with t33 I legitimately never got it.

I cared enough to go through a few hundred emails to make sure i genuinely didn’t get the email, even emails before the date the email was supposed to be sent… I questioned around and even got to confirming the email with t33…

But sure let’s listen to some players who have 1 mark on one tank and care so little they aren’t even willing to take 3 mins or less to get on discord and react with a thumbs down 🤣

Did you guys not see that they WERE going to look at and possibly adjust MOE'S?

However, before they really started, they made a code change that was supposed to make it slightly more difficult to get a MOE on new tanks. But there was a bug and it made it extremely easy to get MOE'S on every tank. It was a bit of a disaster.

So with their tail between their legs, they decided not risk more problems and just leave MOE as is.

I consider it good news bad news. The bad news is they are still all jacked up. The good news is I can never worry about MOE ever again.

WG’s responses for MOEs all made logical sense and the reasoning wasn’t terrible. It mostly comes down to the fact that WG doesn’t care about what high level players think. We’re simply not worth their time and effort. They think that the game is healthier when we’re ignored

Try playing few battles with tier 2 tank, most games are usually 7 vs 7 and 6 of the 7 players on each team are bots. You'll soon learn how to identify bots, they all have same kind of name, no numbers in their name.

I would be happy if they reverted MOE to what they were before it was messed with last summer. However, it doesn't appear it will be changed back.

So I just ignore MOE'S. Previously I was working on 3 marking more tanks. But now it seems like you compete with yourself too much.

The MOE change took away something to do it the game. It likely drove away some good players or at least resulted in them playing less. I certainly play a bunch of tanks less now.

I had some I was 3 marking and I have not touched them since the change.

So to recap, the OP was "Just a friendly reminder that MOE changes were made without asking the player base first.

We need a clear open vote that the player base can see in real time.

For example we had a vote on the discord to see what players wanted, it ended being over 1000 people voting for MOEs to be reverted and only around 100 or so wanting to keep the change however wargaming said it was bots voting and then they decided to make a private email survey to players (barely any people check or received the email) they asked the wrong kind of questions to the players in the survey, it could of been more insightful with the questions for sure. A few days later they said that the players didn’t want the changes reverted and that they’re keeping the changes further conversation about this went no where.

Now because of the changes we have a massive problem with players rigging battles for gold marks and farming the bots in the middle of the night which inflates the MOE through the roof making it impossible for anyone to achieve gold marks on certain tanks.

A healthy survey that reflects the opinions of player base on MOE changes would do no harm.

People rigging battles and farming bots doesn’t really inflate MOEs. The inflation is mostly just player dilution with CW and rare tier Xs.
