People regularly try to do Wrenches for the unlock, but they don't directly scale with Engineering and don't work

Wrenches do not scale with Engineering, so you need to use Screwdrivers or Planks which do. (I do still think they should special-case that tho, it confused hundreds of folks at this point.)

i mean yeah, it should definitely be updated to change that, but still as well the other things dont work
like i get and see what they mean, but if the wrench is going to be a tool and scale engineering it should just be changed for it

You just said that certain things do not work and offered no further explanations. They clearly work for other people, maybe you made a mistake or misunderstand the exact unlock condition. Also it's the weekend and you complained about not getting an answer after not even 4 hours?
