#

#

keen finch
#

ok, so, when exactlu your screen still back, and when it is back ?

#

because what you explain don't make sens to me currently

manic oxide
#

Like when i shutdown my laptop

#

its not fully off only the screen is turned off my keyboard is still on i also saw alot of typings saying like AHCI something like that

keen finch
#

OKAY !

#

you mean your computer does not really shutdown when it should

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

you should rephrase your introduction post, because this was not clear at all

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

No

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

?

keen finch
#

what do you have in Drivers Manager ?

manic oxide
keen finch
#

!

manic oxide
#

I did change it to nvidia-driver-595 then change it back to the open source one

keen finch
#

select the recommended one

manic oxide
#

After that?

manic oxide
#

Alr ill update you

#

Do i restart after downloading that?

keen finch
#

yes, it will ask you

#

The "nouveau" driver is the non-official driver developed by Linux community, it is not optimized and don't properly handle graphic acceleration. You should always prefer "recommended" official Nvidia drivers.

manic oxide
#

Hey

#

Does the reboot always take this long

#

Its been a minutr

#

But there is the mint logo

keen finch
#

press Esc key

#

do you see something else ?

manic oxide
#

No

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

manic oxide
#

But thats what i do when it was like that too

manic oxide
#

manic oxide
#

Once i turn it back on with power button

#

Ok now my driver is on 595

#

keen finch
#

So, when i asked for, you forced shutdown, then you pressed power again, and linux mint desktop appeared ?

manic oxide

keen finch
#

manic oxide
#

keen finch
#

if you do things you don't tell me about, it's hard for me to understand what happen and to juge if things are normal or not

#

so please, before doing such thing, tell me

#

or wait

#

so i can understsand what happen

#
