i have a mostly fresh install of linux mint updated to 22.3 Zena, i tried to set up the ability to type in Japanese and managed to get it to work the keyboard is called Japanese (mozc) its working BUT only within mint windows such as the search bar or password. How do i make it actually let me type in other programs such as discord, or firefox?

restart any apps that are open for them to see the fonts
these two packages will contain mostly what you need to type
