Currently unable to figure out what I can do to resolve this, but I cannot install flatpak applications due to not having it. I've tried the following:

sudo flatpak update
sudo flatpak repair
(installing fuse, which wasn't installed)
flatpak list --user --runtime (gives no output)
sudo apt-get install --reinstall fuse3

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

so I believe you must add a flatpak repository first off.

I added these with Discover

i think the instructions on flatpak.org should cover that , for your distro

dunno if that's related
