When i hit start > power > suspend, or i enter systemctl suspend in the terminal, the system will suspend for a moment only to turn itself back on. Im pretty sure i can even hear the power supply or graphics card switching off only to turn back on.

runnning dmesg -T | tail -n 200 returns:

only way to get that to upload

I dont think its any of my USB devices because i have used all the same USB stuff on another install and did not have this problem. I am an idiot but i think this is because of an old BIOS?

Perhaps some device is sending a wakeup event immediately

#

Unplug everything (unmount any drives before unplugging them) and try again

it might be the drive, but said second install is on that drive. Hmm.

instead of doing it manually on linux

and if that doesn't fix it, turn TPM off in your UEFI Security settings

But I will look at that in a bit and go ahead and update my bios this weekend

there might be a usb slot that's causing it. my wifi adaptor used to cause it, maybe try looking into that.
