Mint is consistently having lag spikes for me, what can I do to diagnose the issue?

I think it's a ram issue? Sometimes it is I check the system monitor and ram is full but sometimes it just isn't, it sometimes happen when opening new browser tabs and oh well I use a lot of browser tabs but still, I don't have a lot of other stuff open, mostly just two consoles one with neovim, what can I do to know whats up? This has been an issue for some time

just to rule out something, are you on nvidia graphics?

you mentioned you have pretty high usual memory usage

swap seems to be aggressively used from that inxi log

drop vm.swappiness=20 at /etc/sysctl.d/99-swappiness.conf as root, then reboot and ensure that cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness returns 20
