So after updating networkmanager few days ago on linux mint I wont be able to connect to any webpage google etc if on a VPN.

Im wondering if its happened to alot or my dns needs flushing and reset network manager? Etc

Could you try "ping google.com" and then "ping 8.8.8.8" if one of these will work if the vpn connection is up
If only the last one work, then dns resolving does not work anymore but routing is still working. Then you could look at the vpn connection settings if there is an DNS server is configured.

Fixed by adding DNS Server 8.8.8.8 to my connections 👍 i also checked resolved and added aswell though probs didnt need to add there
